The above picture looks like the squirrel who checks out the bird feeders and finds them totally empty!
Partly sunny, 89 degrees, no breeze, 5:52 p.m. All is quiet so birds, bees, squirrels, chipmunk and dogs napping!
The last day of June, 2021. It is the 181st day of the year. There are 184 days remaining of 2021. Time flies! In four days we will be celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks and picnics; with beach parties, and pool parties; with BBq’s and ice cream socials. Friends and families gathering to celebrate our great nation.
But before all the celebrating, the normal life goes on. Summer school for the kids, work for the parents, gardens to weed and water, livestock to care for, dogs to walk and the normal daily routine that is so important for each of us. At our home it is keeping up with the two cats who set their own daily schedule and work hard at not keeping it routine. The loud bang we heard last evening, while watching TV, was the two of them upstairs, playing in the guest room. One of them jumped up on the Armour, knocking everything off the top, onto the floor. One thing was a butterfly dish that held earring backs. So fun to pick up. Of course they both looked innocent. They keep us on our toes and have taught us to keep things picked up and put away. Most of the time it works.
Have a wonderful rest of your day. Make it a productive, cheerful, gratifying, kind, giving, and blessed day.
