Friday, April 23, 2023 Partly sunny Breezy No rain at the moment 73 degrees 2:52 p.m.

We have had a couple of thunder storms, rain showers, sunshine and wind. Now it is mostly sunny and a bit breezy. The little birds go hide during the heavy rain but I see the bigger birds out hunting worms and such. The squirrels go hide also.

Tina worked ten hours a day for four days so she could have today off. we have done some of the things she wanted to do. It has been a relaxing yet busy day. We took coats to the cleaners, took a load of stuff to Karns, set out stuff for the semi annual clean up that will show up next week even though they were due today. Most of our stuff and Julie’s stuff has been taken by passer by. ll was usable things but not needed by us.

Allergies have been hitting around this week. Now it is grasses, some trees and i can’t remember what else. All I have is a runny nose but have had that for years and years, so doubt it has anything to do with the grass or trees or weeds, etc. They are all different out here from Nevada and my nose ran there also.

Thursday, April 27, 2023 Cloudy Showers High Pollen No Breeze 57 Degrees 4:43 p.m.

A quiet day. We have had showers on and off, a slight breeze occasionally, no sunshine today. The birds are happy and the squirrels seem to not mind the rain. No many dogs walking their people. All in all a good day.

This morning we had bible study and it was very good. WE watched a message by Louie Gigolo that was so interesting and profound. He is very interested in science and the stars, galaxies, etc. He told us how many light years different stars, planets, and galaxies were away from earth. And how from even our sun our planet earth looks the size of a golf ball. There was a lot of information he shared. I, now, of course, want to go purchase his CD’s . Very interesting.

Am now making dinner. It is a bit of a mix-up so will call it an Italian dinner as we are having spaghetti, rib eye roast, salad, garlic ciabatta rolls and pudding. served with a cookie. The roast I wanted to fix turned out to be rather small so I brought out the spaghetti from the freezer and thought I could use it and have an Italian dinner. I hope that all enjoy it.

Wednesday, April 25, 2023 Mostly Cloudy Breezy Nice Cool 59 Degrees 4:56 p.m.

A beautiful spring day. We have had a few light showers and the temperature has been cool but not bad. The birds and the squirrels have enjoyed the day, mostly getting along but having an occasional misunderstanding over who the bird feeder belongs to. The squirrels have tried to get in the tiny holes but haven’t been able to even get their paws in to rake out seeds. The birds chase them away as they don’t believe in sharing with the squirrels. The squirrels went so far as to try and get the set but, there again, they couldn’t get more then a claw in there and the woodpeckers don’t share well either. Birds 2, squirrels 0.

I went to the butcher shop with Julie today and I bought some Angus All Beef Hot Dogs! When we got home I tried one. It was delicious. I usually don’t care for hot dogs as they leave a greasy after taste in my mouth. Tina kept saying she wanted to get some of these because they were all beef. WE have bought all beef hot dogs in the store and I still didn’t like them. Well, the one I had for lunch, that I bought from the butcher shop was fantastic. No greasy taste, good flavor, just like they use to be when I was a kid. That means no preservatives, no filler. Just good beef. So far, everything we have bought at that butcher shop has been excellent. I also bought bacon, 2 onions, farm fresh eggs (dozen) and a loaf of cranberry walnut bread that is so yummy. I think I am addicted to it. I like it toasted with butter.

Jerry and Tammy’s new puppy, a girl, Dallas (named after the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders) is quite photogenic. She plays well and looks to be so cuddly. I can’t wait to meet her. I understand that Finley, Lacy and Murphy aren’t very happy with the new member of the household. Tammy said they growl every time she gets near one of them. She is a baby and just wants to play. It will take time but they will get use to her and eventually welcome her into their fold. She is much bigger they they are so she can handle them.

Tuesday, April 25, 2023 Sunny Few high clouds Cool Breezy 65 Degrees 5:35 p.m.

A cloudy morning and a sunny afternoon. This morning it was cold and we had the heat on. Finally the sun came out and it warmed up a bit. Then the wind came up. Now it is breezy, mostly sunny and cool. Now it is soon dinner time and news time. At least we have no freeze pr frost warning for tonight. Just a chance for rain. That is the prediction for tonight through Friday.

It has been another busy day with company, the phone, house hold chores, the yard and Sierra who has helped me with everything. I do realize I need her help for so man things, like this blog. Tina just came home so Sierra went to help her with whatever she is doing. I am so glad Sierra shares her time and help. The red headed woodpecker has been here feeding on the suet. He has quite a red Mohawk. He is very handsome, interesting and busy. There is another woodpecker that dines here also. It is a Downy Woodpecker. The one with the Mohawk is actually a Pileated Woodpecker. We bought a book at Barns and Nobel because we have so many birds this year.

Quote of the day: “Great news: laughing one hundred times is the physiological equivalent to working out on a rowing machine for ten minutes! The problem is, once I get going, I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop, and I’ll laugh myself into Anorexia!” My calendar

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Make it a thankful, exciting, tasteful, and fun day.
