A PHOTO FROM ONE OF THE MUSEUMS IN OAK RIDGE. WE PLAN ON VISITING EACH ONE HEAR THIS YEAR.

Thursday, March 31, 2022 Mostly cloudy Windy Cool 65 Degrees 4:28 p.m.

The last day of March, 2022! Another beautiful day, but not as warm as yesterday and quite windy. the wind was fierce last night, blowing down trees and scattering things around from place to place. Here we had no damage and I didn’t hear the wind, nor the rain. Tina said that she did and that it was blowing hard when she came home from work. We had to go out this morning so saw some trees that had blown down. I know that the lights flickered several times and I had to reset a couple of clocks. It is spring and the last day of March. I guess it is going out like a lion. Sure hope April comes in like a lamb.

Today they installed the chair lift for the stairs. It is nice and I am very happy to have it. that will help both Tina and I a lot, though she thinks she will continue to climb the stairs for exercise. We shall see. I know I won’t be so worried about my leg giving out when I am going up or down the stairs. Falling isn’t one of my favorite things to do.

The birds have been out and dining at the new bird feeders like they are gourmet. There is a young cardinal and a red headed, red breasted smallish bird that I can’t find a picture of . It is pretty. I guess I will have to expand my bird knowledge and buy another bird book for this area. There are so many different birds. Someone commented that there are different birds because of the tornadoes and storms in different areas. That could be. They all blew in and like it here. There is a lot of nest building going on..

THE FLOWERS GROW EVERYWHERE, ALONG THE ROADS AND IN YARDS AND IN THE MOUNTAINS.

Wednesday, March 30, 2022 Sunny, Clear, Breezy Beautiful 75 degrees 7:36 p.m.

A beautiful spring day here in East Tennessee. It seems like all agreed as the birds were out in full, singing and flying around, eating from the bird feeder and searching the grass for worms and seeds. Dogs were out walking their people, who stopped and chatted with neighbors, making the walk more about the people then the dogs. All seemed to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful day.

My neighbor came over this afternoon and we played Yahtzee until just a bit ago, She goes back to work on Friday so the afternoon games will have to end for awhile. She works at Walgreens but will soon accept a position at an assisted living home for people who have memory problems. She will have a drive as it is in Knoxville. That and the fact she is returning to the University to finish her degree will keep her plenty busy.

With the warmer weather Tennessee is waking up to all sorts of entertaining and fun things to do as well as places to go. There are stage plays and Farmer’s markets; Day trips in the Smokies and trips to the aquamarine in Chattanooga, ball games and bike races. We are planing a few day trips, one being to the Art Welcoming Center outside of Williamsburg Kentucky. It is a fascinating Amish cultural center with wonderful things to buy, make by the Amish. Tina wants some more TOE JAM. It us really good. It has a mixture of three or four fruits. No toes. We want to go to Chattanooga to the aquamarine also. We shall see how the time and he days off go. He work schedule is so confusing.

SO MANY FLOWERS EVERYWHERE.

Tuesday, March 29, 2022 Mostly sunny High Fluffy clouds 67 Degrees 5:26.m.

Here it is Tuesday already. The weekend flew by and was very busy. I had a great time with the digs as they are good, but love to play. We played, fetch, and toss/ catch, tug-of-war and even a form of hide and seek. They hide and I did the seeking. I think they learned that from the kids and grand kids. I taught them to use their indoor voice, (sort of) and to lay down and watch TV. I watched The big Red Panda, Cheaper by the Dozen, A Christmas movie, Dug the dog and his master Cliff or something like that. And BBC House. That was very interesting! It was cute (cartoon) and The Good Witch. Very much enjoyed it all.

The best part of the weekend was Bryan winning his fight. U.F.C. Fighter Bam Bam Barberena Won the fight. That was awesome. I forgot to ask about all the important things like what round and knock out or just what? I know now that he is home and being Farmer B and enjoying his family. He certainly deserve a rest. I know that his family is ecstatic to have him home and back on the farm.!

Yesterday was doctor day. Tina had her physical in the AM and we both had the back doctor in the PM. Today she had a nerve study done. she has acute corporal tunnel, which is the reason that three fingers on her left hand are tingly as well as her arm up to the elbow. I guess she will have that surgery in the very near future. she does drop things without meaning to or realizing it. Her neck is doing fine for the moment. Me, I am fine but have to see the knee doctor to check on the knees. Nothing major.

Today I have dine laundry and the normal pick up and put away, catch up on all the stuff I didn’t get done since Thursday. Friday we were gone all day running errands and I don’t know what all. It was a busy day, that I do know. a stop at Jerry’s and a visit to Lambert’s Health Care store. I looked at the stair lifts and am going to be getting one. Both Tina and I will make good use of it. That was a very interesting store as they have all sorts of things plus clothes and shoes.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. A spot of Tea, be it in a class or in a cup. A dainty cake or a hogi sandwich. What ever, enjoy and have fun.

BEAUTIFUL SUNSET OVER THE CLENCH RIVER

Thursday, March 24, 2022 Partly Cloudy Windy Cool 62 Degrees 5:39 p.m.

A cool but pretty day. It has been windy most of the day and very cool compared to yesterday when we reached 80 degrees.. This cold snap, which is to last until next Wednesday, is called “Red bud Winter”. We should have three more “winters” before spring finally settles in. Different but I guess that is the way it is here.

Tina is home and the diagnoses is a rare form of vertigo. She is much better. Her treatment is physical therapy for the next two weeks or so plus exercises here at home and sleeping on her left side. None of her symptoms sounded like vertigo so the neurologist had to do some research and that is what he found. So strange. Both her arms look like pin cushions from all the needles for blood tests and intravenous stuff. She was dehydrated so took some time and effort to get blood from her. Anyhow, she is home and happy and feels so much better. The cats are happy that she is home also. Now they each have a lap to curl up in.

Time to think about dinner. She said they fed her way to much food at the hospital but it was hospital food. I think she wants home cooking .
