Tuesday, August 31, 2021 Raining Breezy Ida Depression moving through 70 degrees 11:11 a.m.
We are experiencing rain compliments of Hurricane Ida, now a depression. She is said to move slowly through the Tennessee Valley and be out of here by tomorrow evening. Thursday should be sunny and beautiful and 80 degrees, or close to it. I am praying that we don’t experience any major flooding. We have so many rivers, lakes and streams around here, in all of Tennessee, that the possibility is there.
The weekend was great. We did nothing exciting, just the normal household things. Tina ended up working 8 hours on Sunday so my day was very quiet. I did church in the morning and read in the afternoon. The evening was spent watching TV and early to bed. Getting up at 4:30 a.m. makes one ready for bed early. We barely got all of AFHV watched. (America’s Funniest Home Videos) I know that I was asleep before 8:30 p.m.
Yesterday, Monday, was our appointment to get our COVID-19 test. We both tested negative. Our neighbor, who has had their shots, had COVID so we thought that getting tested was a good idea. We are never close to them, but Tina works with the public and even though she wears her mask, quite a few others don’t so better safe then sorry. Home Depot, here, have the mask mandate in place once again.
After a bit of shopping at Kroger’s, we came home, Tina fixed enchiladas and a salad for an early dinner and Dottie came over to help celebrate my birthday. It was quiet and fun. I received several lovely birthday cards and lots of text messages and e-mails. It is always appreciated and so fun to hear from everyone. My gifts were and are, so fantastic and fun and useful. Jerry, Tammy and Tina gave me a beautiful electric fireplace that I can’t wait to use. (Right now it is to hot to even have the fire part on). I was going to turn it on last evening but felt silly with the fire going and it 89 degrees. Jerry also gave me a years subscription to Kendell e-books. I read my Kendell a lot so will use that a lot.
Diana and Bryan gave me a site where once a week I will receive a question pertaining to me and I will answer the question, making a story out if it and even adding pictures if I wish. By the end of the year I will of told my life story and it will be made into a book. That should be so fun. She said that she is stopping by one day this week so will be very happy to see her and her family. With the COVID we hardly get to see her, Bryan and the kids.
Dottie and I will celebrate our birthdays on the 4th with whole family, at a dinner someplace in the Cumberland. More about that after the fact. It should be fun. Jerry and Tammy always pick fun and interesting places to go and things to do. Both Dottie and I are looking forward to that. So fun.
Have a safe and healthy day. fill your day with productivity, fun, cheerfulness, kindness, peace and love
Blessings
