The General Sherman is said to be the biggest tree in the Americas. It is a beautiful tree and worth taking a trip to gp see it if you haven’t already. The Sequoia Forest is beautiful. I know that they were wrapping the tree to help save it from the fires that destroyed so much of California as well as other western states. Between the fires and the drought there is a lot of damage to both property and animals and, of course, people.
The news has talked about climate change and what could or would or will happen if we don’t change our ways of living and stop the coal and gas use. But, I wonder if that is the basic cause of it all? Every so many years the climate changes and with it all life had to change or pass away. The ice age, and the Dust Bowl and now? I believe most every continent has been affected with the weird weather, fires, floods, etc. Time will tell, or is telling.
We had a nice weekend. The beds got switched. Sierra and Milo think the king size bed it the best ever. they can really stretch out as long and as wide as possible on that bed. Tina said she thinks she will need a bigger bed to accommodate these two cats and her. It is lovely in her room, with the new bed comforter and pillows, etc. Her room is big enough so that the bed doesn’t look like it is crowing anything. It really enhances it.
I am waiting until the bathroom gets done and then we can get the guest room all set up and the whole upstairs cleaned and looking nice. Next year Tina’s room and bathroom will get done, then the floors up there. It will be so nice to have the upstairs done. It just takes time and money, and patience.
Saturday evening we went to Jerry’s and had the indoor tail gate party. It was fun. When good food, good company and good games are on, it is always fun. We left early as Tina had to be at work at 7:00 a.m., plus driving at night isn’t something she is comfortable doing these days. It was fun with the dogs who were so friendly and playful. We both enjoy being with the Knoxville branch of the family.
We owe a big Thank You to Jerry, Tammy and Noah for moving and setting up the three beds. The mechanical beds are very heavy and the trips up and down the stairs added to the project. So I am sure they are sore today, and probably tired. We do appreciate all of their hard work.
The Question today is: When did the British Dirigible R-34 cross the Atlantic Ocean?
Have a wonderful rest of your Monday. Make it the perfect start to a perfect week. Fill it with productivity, positiveness, pleasure, peace and prosperity.
