Tuesday, September 7, 2021 Partly Sunny Slight Breeze 80 degrees 2:45 p.m.

A beautiful day here in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I had an early morning doctor’s appointment with the back doctor. I will be having shots in my back in the next couple of weeks. That sounds like so much fun!!!! I hope that it will help and I will be close to being back to normal soon. I have a disc that is pushing on a nerve or two and that is causing the problems.

The above picture is of my dad (in the dark blue shirt) and his two brothers and his sister. They have all passed on now. I believe this picture was taken on Uncle Fred’s farm in Iowa, Uncle Fred is between my Dad and Aunt Mary.

We are slowly decorating for Fall. We got a lot done yesterday and have done a bit today. Thursday the remodeling of the upstairs hall bath room is to start so have to get as much done in the housework department as possible. This project is to take a week to a week and a half. i am not sure what all this will in-tale as far as water being off so want to get all I can done prior to the remodel. I will be so glad when it is done and know that it will be both beautiful and practical.

Today is Labor Day, Monday, September 6, 2021 Sunny, Still, No breeze 80 degrees 3:18 p.m.

What a great weekend. Saturday afternoon Jerry, Tina and Tammy took Dottie and I to this marvelous restaurant atop one of the Appalachian mountains. What a breathtaking place. You can see for miles and miles, look over and see the Smokies, down in the valley at the meadows, cows grazing, ponds, hay rolls, barns and homes, and even a couple of towns. All was so quiet and tranquil.

The late lunch was wonderful. Tina had BBQ ed spaghetti and it was delicious. Yes, I had a taste. Jerry did also and was sorry that he hadn’t ordered it. He had Prime Rib. Dottie had a turkey dinner which she said was wonderful. She usually orders hamburger and fries. We said that she couldn’t do that yesterday. So she had turkey and all the trimmings. Tammy and I had salmon. We had appetizers of fried green tomatoes and stuffed potato skins. They were also very good. I do like fried green tomatoes. A beautiful meal with fun people.

The rest of the weekend has been fairly quiet. We have decorated for fall today. the weatherman said that it was fall in the weather department so Tina and many others around here said it was time to decorate for fall. Next month we will add Halloween to the mix. such fun.

Friday, September 3. 2021 Sunny, Clear, Slight breeze 61 Degrees 8:44 a.m.

There are so many pretty churches here. this is one of the older ones. It is still used had has a crowd every Sunday

Today is such a busy day I thought I would get this done and out before I left on all the appointments and shopping that needs doing today. I do PT at 9:30 this morning. The best way to start the day! At 11:00 Sierra and Milo get the privilege of getting their shots, a trip to the vet. Not their favorite way to spend the day. Then lunch and a few minutes to catch our breath before a stop at the bank on the way to the MRI appointment. I am so excited. Then a stop at Walmart for Tina’s prescriptions and cat food. Can’t come home without cat food.

We are looking at a fairly cool day and that is nice. The grass grew a couple of inches from the rain and the flowers look fantastic. Soon they will be gone and it will be time for the fall flowers to come and greet us. I am looking forward to Fall and all the beauty it holds.

Thursday, September 2, 2021 Sunny Clear Slight Breeze 78 degrees 4:39 p.m.

A beautiful day. so pleasant to be outdoors with a nice breeze and just the perfect warmth. The meteorologist said that this is the start of meteorologist fall. I like that! I am sure it will warm up again in the next couple of days but it is just the beginning of September.

The above restaurant is one of the best in Oak Ridge. they have good meals, Southern comfort food, and the very best bakery. I love the carrot cake and the key lime pie. Tina loves the German Chocolate Cake and the Apple Hand pies. All are so good. The verity of bakery good is wonderful. they have breads and sweet rolls, everything that a bakery has, and it is made right there, daily. the meals are good, tasty and plates are full. We always say we are going to share a plate, but we forget so end up with a meal for the next day. The waitresses and staff are friendly and good. I would give it a five star rating.

Tina is brushing Sierra. Sierra is very fussy as to where that brush should and shouldn’t go. She and Milo have a vet’s appointment tomorrow for shots so they need to look their best to go out in society. We brought their carriers in about a month ago and they have been snoozing in them, playing in them and spying on us in them, so hopefully tomorrow morning they will oblige and be in them when we need to zip up the doors and go. Milo is now being brushed and he stands still and lets Tina brush wherever she pleases. So nice. Sierra should be so cooperative.
