AREN’T THEY CUTE

Tuesday, February 15, 2022 Sunny Breezy Clear 60 degrees 4:35 p.m.

Another gorgeous Winter day here in East Tennessee. The morning was very cold, but this afternoon is lovely but a bit windy. The house stays cool unless we open the blinds when the sun is shining brightly. the cats love the sunshine and so remind us to open them early. This morning, early, the almost full moon was shining in my bedroom window. It was so pretty. I guess it is a good thing I get up early as I sure would of missed that if I hadn’t.

Last evening, Valentines Day evening, over a candle light dinner, Son Jerry proposed to his girlfriend, Tammy. She was so excited! Of course she said yes. They are so perfect for each other, their eyes light up when they see each other and they each have the biggest and brightest smiles. No lights needed when they are together. She told her mom that they are thinking of a fall wedding. Her mom doesn’t think it will be that long. We shall see.

I have nothing to really top that. Today was laundry day and I am sure you all know how exciting that is. So have a great rest of you Tuesday. Make it a thrilling, talented, tame, tremendous and fun day.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Monday, February 14, 2022 Valentine’s Day Sunny Breezy 48 Degrees 5:01 p.m.

Another Beautiful Winter Day! It is cold and breezy but sunny and cheery, if indoors. I just saw a Cardinal out checking for a worm or something to snack on. He had been at the bird feeder so am sure he isn’t hungry. He and a couple of doves are all of the bird population I have seen. I guess it is to chilly for much outdoor activity by the animal population.

A busy Super Bowl Day at Jerry Walters, celebrating his birthday and enjoying good company, BBQ and yummy cake that Tammy baked. So good. We all enjoyed visiting and watching the Puppy Bowl and later the game pre show. Tina, Dottie and I left for home before the game started so that we could be home before dark. Tina doesn’t like driving after dark and I don’t blame her. Between curves and lights and deer as well as other wild life, it can be nerve wracking. It was a fun day though. Happy day after birthday, Jerry.

Today was a Doctor’s appointment and then a stop at the grocery store. That is never any fun any more as either the shelves are empty or the prices so high it chocks me. It was interesting watching a couple of men looking at the roses and gulping at the prices of the most gorgeous ones. $79.95 for long stem roses, two dozen. He settled for a small bouquet,($19.95 for 6 roses) and a small box of candy. Inflation and unable to receive supplies is a major part of the problem. I pray that all this end soon and we are able to get back to somewhat normal.

Time to get ready for the evening. I need to walk up and get the mail and then feed the lions that live with us, At dinner time they act like lions. I swear they have built in clocks.

Have a great Valentine’s day. Fill it with love, kindness, cheerfulness, smiles and roses.

JUST ANOTHER PART OF OAK RIDGE TENNESSEE

Thursday, February 10, 2022 Sunny Breezy Few clouds 60 degrees 5:06 p.m.

Another beautiful Winter day. I know that there is a cold front arriving Saturday and probably will start tomorrow as it isn’t supposed to be as warm tomorrow. I do appreciate the sunshine.

I am watching the lady we privately call Olive Oil as she is so thin, walking her dog Zion, who is a Yorkie and terrier mix. He has far more energy then she does and he is 8 years old. Every so often he gets away from her and leaves her far behind. He always goes home, or to visit the neighbors all around there home. It, like ours, is a town home. He is cure and funny. She is very nice and fun to visit with.

I opened up the Cricut / Explore Air 2 and downloaded all the instructions. This is going to be fun if I ever master it all. It requires a few instruments or attachments that I will have to go out and get, then practice on making things to make other things with, or to decorate things with. I mostly want to make cards but it looks like there are a million things I can do with this thing. It should be fun once I get the hang of it.

I also learned that we can make face to face calls on our Echo. Of course it has to be with people who have an Echo so just need to find out who. I know Jerry and Jeff both do so that is fun. I will have to learn how to do that also. So much to learn in this day and age.

Well, it is time to think about messing up my clean kitchen and think about dinner. Maybe the salmon patties or maybe something else that is in the freezer. I will have to see what is available and ready to just thaw and heat. I do like that option once in a while.

Have a great rest of your Thursday. Make it a thrifty, economical, saving, secure, healthy, safe and fun day.

A PART OF EAST TENNESSEE ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

Wednesday, February 9, 2022, Mostly Sunny Breezy Cool 58 Degrees 5:18 p.m.

I, first thing, have to make a correction on the trucking company involved accident that killed the policeman. It was not Knight Trucking. It was Kaboat Trucking. It is a one truck company. The driver had just been hired if I understand the story correctly. The trailer that was shown on TV had a Knight logo on it. That makes this a local news item and probably not international.

It has been a beautiful winter day. A bit on the cool side with a cloud now and then. I am not sure just what the clouds are about but I don’t think anything stormy. We should have good weather all week long, which is great with me.

Today was Tina’s day off but she got called in to work. Her co workers seem to get Covid or else their family members do Most are A-symptomatic which is good, but puts a damper on them being at work. Masks are not mandatory everywhere so kids bring it home, husbands or wives bring it home, etc. We find that most people wear their masks in the stores and such as, but where else they are who knows. I hope that soon all will be well and the covid stuff will go away and everyone will have their vaccines and booster shots so we can get back to somewhat normal.

Dottie gave us all a scare this morning. Her daughter asked if we had talked to her yesterday, or texted her/ We said no, that we hadn’t heard from her nor had we contacted her. She said that she had called and texted her and got no response. So I called and got nothing. then Tina texted Jerry and Tammy and said that they should call the police and have a well fair check. Then Dottie called Tammy to see why she hadn’t texted or called her? it turned out to be Dottie’s phone that wasn’t receiving texts or calls. these cell phone are sure tricky. Mine, if I am not careful will turn the sound down on everything and I guess that is what Dottie’s did yesterday and early this morning. Only she showed that no one had called or texted.

Time to get things started for dinner. Tina should be home in about 30 minutes and I am sure she will be wanting something to eat. I am ready for a meal. I think we will finish up the turkey pot pie tonight. Tomorrow will have something new. Maybe salmon patties.

Have a great rest of your day. Make it a cheerful, interesting, adventurous and fun day.

Blessings
