A BIRD’S EYE VIEW OF A PART OF OAK RIDGE TENNESSEE

Tuesday, February 2, 2022 Rain Flood warning through Friday morning 55 degrees 5:14 p.m.

A beautiful rainy Wednesday afternoon. The rain is just a brief shower every now and then at the moment, but it is supposed to start raining steady this evening and throughout the night into tomorrow. We might get a break in the rain for a spell tomorrow sometime, then start up again and continue on until Friday morning when the cold front hits and the rain can turn into sleet and snow. That is my current weather report for Oak Ridge and east Tennessee.

Tina and I went out this morning to run errands before the rain starts. We went to the Post office, then to pick up her new glasses, and then to the cleaners. We have a table runner that we thought might be better cleaned at the cleaners. They said that since the decorations on it were in part felt, that we would do better taking it home and using a damp cloth and spot cleaning it, then a roller that you use to get lint and such off your clothes to pick up any cat hair or other minute things that might be on it. O.K. I can do that.

The next thing was the very delicate and pretty crocheted angles that Cora Jepsen made me twenty or more years ago. She thought they were exquisite but said that I would do better taking them home, pushing them gently back into shape, then on a news paper, taking spray starch and in short gentle spurts spray then and gently wipe off any dust that is on them with a damp cloth. After all of that, then spray them gently with spray starch and place them in the china cabinet or other enclosed place where they can be seen and enjoyed but protected. I should use steam on them before the final spray starch.

I don’t know as I totally agree with all of that so will check around and see what other places have to say about both of those items. I am open to suggestions from my blog readers. PLEASE!

Other then that it has been a quiet day. Tina had the day off but was called in as they were very short handed. So many out because they tested positive for Covid so have to stay home for five days regardless of being ill or not. Masks are required most places and we wear one regardless.

Have a great rest of you day. Make it a healthy, safe, enjoyable, productive and fun day.

Blessings

A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN OAK RIDGE TENNESSEE

Tuesday, February 1, 2022 Sunny Clean, Not a cloud in sight 60 Degrees 5:22 p.m.

A lovely day for the 1st of February. so nice and warm and perfect. The cats enjoyed laying in the sun in the big window. They do like their sun and vitamin D. Tina took the neighbor’s dog for a long walk and said she saw the cardinal up the street in a tree that is bare of leaves. I will be glad when they come back down here but guess they move around some. Maybe this spring will bring them back to our trees.

Tomorrow we are due to get the beginning of the storms again. We will start with rain and I believe that is all we will get, but like 3 inches of the wet stuff. We should be fine as we aren’t near a creek, river or lake. My granddaughter will have the flooding issue as they have a pond, lake and creek. And fish and a boat.

I am so shocked and dismayed at the amount of children that are needing foster homes, and how many children, who have been adopted, treated very badly and even killed by the people who adopted them. They just did it for the money. I didn’t know that you received money if you adopted a child?.! Even if you foster a child I didn’t realize you received money, or much money. I thought just doctors and health care. What do I know! I do feel bad for these children.

Time to get dinner going and feed these poor starving cats! They really need to get a job and earn the money for their cat food. It is getting as expensive as our food is.

Have a wonderful rest of your day. Make it a positive, profitable, cheerful, kind, and fun one.

Blessings
