I HAVE BELIEVE THESE ARE A VARIETY OF DAFFODILS..

Friday, March 11, 2022 partly cloudy storm warnings in place 65 degrees 4:59 p.m.

It is Friday. The start of the weekend. It will be a most interesting weekend, weather wise. We have storm warning from 7:00 p.m. tonight until Sunday sometime. Snow is predicted at between 2 to 4 inches. Then the cold front comes through and the temperature will drop in the neighborhood of 30 degrees. Sunday morning the temperature, when we get up, should be 17 degrees. That might not be accurate as we get up at 4:30 on Sunday mornings. I will be sure and write it down.

Yesterday was a busy day/ Laundry, pone calls, company, etc and preparing dinner. I never got to the blog.

Today was a fun day just goofing off. We went looking for an old beat up wheelbarrow or wagon so that Tina can make it into a fairy garden. Well, we found nothing and also found no yard sales or garage sales. I guess the weather has them stopped for this week. Someone said that it is usually Saturdays that the garage sales and yard sales are held. Maybe next week. We visited a couple of thrift stores but they mostly had clothes and knick knacks. It was fun but not productive. We went to Home depot and I got a thing to make a lamp a touch on and off one. We looked at furniture that would fit nicely in our living room. No, we didn’t buy it. We ate lunch at Calhoun’s and went ti the nursery to wee what they had. So pretty. Bought nothing. then to Walmart and got a few needed things and finally home.

Now, for both of us, it is relaxing time, TV and an early to bed night. Tomorrow is her very early morning to be at work. And if the roads are a mess she will have to leave a bit early.

The Quote for today is: I would not waste my life in friction when it could be turned into momentum. Francis Willard (1830 – 1898) Educator

Have a great rest of your day and make the weekend adventurous, safe, interesting, relaxing, and fun.

DAFFODILS, STAR FLOWER AND A PRETTY RED GROUND COVER,

Wednesday, March 9, 2022 Mostly Cloudy Slight Breeze, 51 degrees 5:16 p.m.

It was a rainy night, very cool to cold. Today has been dry since early this morning. It is cold and dreary. I think tomorrow is to be cold but sunny and dry. The moisture is to return Saturday with the possibilities of snow. This is March!

Today has been housework, talking on the phone, writing a letter and making cards. I did some shopping on line and that was fun. I still prefer going to the store but sometimes shopping on line is easier as you can have the item delivered right to the desired destination. That is handy. With gas prices going up daily, or hourly, I will be paying for gas one way or the other. Their gas cost will be shared among many and ours will be shared among us.

Face Book is full of comments on the prices and on Russia and on President Biden. There is some humor with a very decided undertone of disapproval of the war and the treatment of the Ukraine people and the Russian people. It is heartbreaking that so much cruelty can be displayed by one man.

Time to go get the mail and think about dinner. Tina will be home in less then an hour and I am sure will be hungry. These 8 hour days. are hard to get use to. Especially since each day, for the most part, the hours are different. It makes it hard to plan on anything. But she makes it work.

Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday. Make it wondrous, interesting, adventurous, profitable and fun.

ALL OVER THE COUNTRY SIDE AND IN PEOPLE’S YARDS

Tuesday, March 8, 2022 Mostly Cloudy Rain expected 54 Degrees 4:49 p.m.

We sure do miss the warmer weather. We are back to sweaters and coats, boots and warm socks. The quilt back on the bed and the cozy throw to wrap up in while watching TV. Oh, yes, the furnace is back on! It is very still and quiet outdoors now. Kids are home from school but not out playing. No one is walking their dogs and the birds are not in attendance at the bird feeders. Tina is at work so just me and the two cats here. They are watching out the windows in hopes they will see some birds, or a squirrel or chipmunk or even a small worm to watch and chatter at.

We went to Walmart this morning and found people stocking but there are still a lot of empty shelves. We also noticed a lot of new brands of canned goods, etc and the one’s we are use to are missing. i don’t know why unless they can’t get workers at Delmonte or some of the other famous and standard brands. So, a new adventure in the food department. Each day is a new adventure for us. Shopping has sure lost its’ appeal.

The big topic on the news and around town is the price of gas. It went up 10 cents since yesterday. I think that right now it is $3.89 a gallon. Taking long trips seems to be a thing of the past a the gas prices climb. President Biden has cut off our supply of oil from Russia so that will raise the price of gas some more. We only get 3% of our oil from Russia.

time to feed the cats. Milo is insistent and Sierra is helping him bug and annoy me, so guess the answer is ti feed them.

Quote of the day: Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. Mark Twain (1835 – 1910) Humorist and writer.

Have a terrific Tuesday. Make it great, grad, good and fun.

DAFFODILS GROW WILD HERE. YOU SEE THEM ALONG THE HIGHWAYS, IN YARDS, MEADOWS, HILLSIDES AND PARKS

Monday, March 7, 2022 Cloudy Rainy Windy 58 Degrees 5:06 p.m.

This is what it looks like along the highway going from here to Knoxville. Also all over East Tennessee. The beautiful flowers grow wild and are found most everywhere. They can be in small bunches or will cover a hillside. They are beautiful and seem to spread cheer everywhere. They do put that smile on ones’ face.

Our weekend was spectacular with warm temperatures and sunshine. A time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. We went to Clinton on Sunday afternoon and visited with Dottie. She is having to watch her poodle, Max closely as he had to have his eye removed. He detests the collar and keeps shaking his head back and forth trying to remove it. She takes it off of his and then watches him like a hawk to make sure he doesn’t scratch the eye and tear out the stitches. he has until the 18th before going back to the vet to get the stitches out. Other then that he is doing fine.

Thanks to Jerry, Tina now has her charcoal grill up and ready to grill. The plan is to grill nest weekend, weather permitting. I am not sure what the first BBQ meal will be; steak, chicken, ribs, chops, ? Whatever it is I know it will be good. I will get some corn on the cob and some other veggies and add them to the grilling and that will make it super.

While Jerry was putting Tina’s grill together, Tammy was in here with me, showing me how to make labels. I couldn’t get the template to work and was ready to throw the whole thing out the window. She showed me how to use excel to make the size labels I wanted. I am so thankful to her for that. I get so exasperated when the computer has changes made to it. , The programs I use, that is. They call it upgrades. I call it downgrades.

have a wonderful rest of your Monday. Make it marvelous, merry, meaningful and fun.
