WHEN PLAYING YAHTZEE AT OUR HOME,

SIERRA ALWAYS J JOINS IN.

Tuesday, June 7, 2022 Cloudy breezy Maybe rain 79 Degrees 5:07 p.m.

It had been a rainy, cloudy day with the sun peeking out every now and then. A nice day to get some things done here in the house as well as relax a bit. I have been very quiet today as I woke up with laryngitis . I asked Alexia how to spell it and she gave me a Mexican dish. Yes, I will be quiet.

Tina has been very energetic today. We have cleaned the office quite thoroughly as both Sierra and Milo are shading like crazy. And they both want to be in here with us. I clean the office at least every other day fr that reason. I would like to get them both shaved for the summer but I doubt they would like it. They would have to be “put out” before the vet would do it. I guess they will stay furry.

The people across the way have a beautiful black dog with a bit of white on his chest and neck. He is a big dog, like maybe a Great Dane mix. He just got loose again so the chase is on. He runs across the yard and down the hill and I don’t know where else he goes. I do know his master gets a lot of exercise each day. We get entertained. As much as we enjoy the Chase”, we hope and pray that he doesn’t run out onto the Oak Ridge Pike as that is very busy, especially now that it is rush hour. We think he is a puppy, probably in the teenage stage.

Now it is dinner time. We are having meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and jello. .

MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2022

Monday, June 6, 2022 mostly cloudy rain coming still 84 degrees 5:00 p.m.

So far, June has been a crazy busy month. Between Doctor visits, Tina’s corporal tunnel surgery, keeping up with the house, being the chauffeur, running errands and trying to do my blog keeps me our, or in, trouble for sure. As far as the cats are concerned, I am in trouble. I cut their wet food down to once a day.

The above picture is our front yard. Tina has planted flowers under the dogwood tree and they are starting to come up. they are bulbs so won’t bloom until late summer and early fall but I think will be beautiful when they do bloom. That will give some color out there. The bit of yellow you see is a leaf from the zucchini plant. That part of the garden is coming along nicely. We got to pick a radish yesterday. The black hook you see is the tip of a bird feeder pole.

Tina had a doctor’s appointment at 8:15 this morning. We went to that, then to I-Hop for breakfast. It was good to have something different for breakfast. After that we went to T J Max as I have been looking for a new dish drainer. I found a nice one there for less then $1 0,00 so it is now by the kitchen sink. We then went to Home Goods and looked around, then Ross’s and looked around and then to Burks. Then home. Tina found a couple of things and I found one or two but not a lot. It was fun to just get out and look at different things. The three stores here are very nice, not crowded and you can actually see the merchandise they have. All is neatly arranged and prices are able to be seen easily on most items. Tomorrow we will take some stuff to Karn’s as I keep adding to the “give away” sack and pile.

Yesterday we met Jerry, Tammy and Dottie at the theater here in Oak Ridge and enjoyed watching Top Gun Maverick. It was a great movie. The seats there are very comfortable, recline and even have a warmer in the back if needed. I like that. Our next movie will be Dalton Abby . I am not sure when but I am sure soon. I doubt Jerry will join us for that one. He will miss out on a good English love story.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 2022

Thursday, June 2, 2022 Partly Cloudy Rain off & On 83 Degrees 5:02 p.m.

My first blog of June, 2022. It has been a bit busy around here so haven’t gotten to the computer in a few days. I had a great Memorial Day weekend and so far this week has bee busy but good.

I “dog sat” Saturday afternoon through Sunday early afternoon. The above picture is of Murphy and Lacy. Murphy on guard in case the squirrel comes in the yard, and Lacy enjoying a sun bath. Finley was on the porch with me, in the shade and resting between games of fetch and tug-of -war. They are very good and well mannered puppy dogs so it is a pleasure to spend time with them. They are also small enough for me to play with and not get knocked oown in the process. I guess age makes a difference.

Monday we had our car port pressure washed. It looks so nice and neat and clean now. Since Tina had to work I asked Jerry to come over and be here as I didn’t know the gentleman that was to do the work. It turned out that he had another job so his wife and her brother came to do the pressure washing. I was glad Jerry was here as he understood more of what had to be done and what couldn’t be done then I did. That was a major help.

Jerry, and Tammy brought hot dogs, chips, potato salad and a strawberry desert for our Memorial Day get together. Dottie came with Max and it was so much fun. Tammy received a hotdog cooker for he birthday so she brought it and cooked the hot dogs on it. They were great. They even brought the Red, White and Blue paper plates and napkins. So fun and so good. They left shortly before Tina got home form work. Dottie was still here so Tina got to hear all about the fun and also the pressure wash adventure. And she got hot dogs and all that went with it. They had had about the same thing at work as H.D. brought in the hot dogs and grilled them and hamburgers and everyone else brought in the side dishes. And they were busy. Go figure!

Yesterday Tina had her corporal tunnel surgery so is home for two weeks healing. She is keeping her wrist and hand on a pillow and trying to behave and not do much of anything. I think it will be a long two weeks for her, trying to not use that hand. She goes back and gets the stitches out on the 16th and plans on returning to work on the 17th. by then she will be stir crazy. She should catch up on all her TV programs if nothing else.

The weather has been hot, especially for this time of year. We were in the 90’s the past three days and the roses just plane burned. I trimmed them back this morning and sure hope that they come back strong a pretty again. We had a terrific thunder storm that dumped at least an inch of rain on everything so sure hoped that helps all the plants. It also cooled things off as now it is 75 degrees and 5:24 p.m.
