Tuesday, October 12, 2022 Cloudy Slight breeze Rain coming 65 Degrees 12:40 p.m.

We have had showers which are welcome. The weatherman said that we should get rain with thunder and lightening tonight into tomorrow morning. This will also be on again/off again. We shall see. the grass and plants are happy for the moisture.

We are enjoying Jeff and Nanette’s company. Molly, the dog is such a good dog. she minds well and is very friendly towards humans and ignores the cats, who stay hidden for the most part. If Jeff reprimands Molly she comes to me as if saying I’m at Grandma’s and she will let me have whatever it is I want. That isn’t quite true, but close.

Last night we had dinner at Buddy;s BBQ and it was good. Later on Jerry and Tammy came over and visited and that was fun. We will meet them for dinner tomorrow night. I think we may go to Knoxville tomorrow evening. Tonight we are having chili dogs, tater tots, and salad for dinner with ice cream for desert.

Have a great rest of your Wednesday. Make this day a cheerful, friendly, kind, adventurous and fun day.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022 Sunny Still Cool Beautiful 45 Degrees 10:29 a.m.

One of the prettiest sights is to wake up as the sun is just peeking, and seeing the beautiful trees across the oak Ridge Turnpike turning shades of orange, gold and red. Then come downstairs and see the Blue Jay eating from the bird feeder and a woodpecker hammering away at the Cedar tree. Fluffy sparrows are around, eating and singing. So pretty. The Hummingbirds have gone farther south for the winter, probably to South America. We now are getting the winter birds.

Jeff, Nanette and Molly are now here and resting this morning after three days and nights of driving and site seeing. Later we will go explore some of Oak Ridges sites. They need to get a tire fixed or replaced. I guess we shall visit a tire shop. So exciting.! We will see what else they want to do today.

Molly is so pretty and sweet. Both Sierra and Milo are not hanging around to find out but am sure they will slowly come out and see that she won’t bother them at all. She is no longer a puppy so not much in the playing mood. She is now an adult and civilized. Right now Sierra is up in the cat tree snoozing away and Milo is sniffing and looking around checking things out. He is the UN-trusting one. They will be find after a day or so.

Have a great Tuesday. Remember, it is Taco Tuesday, so enjoy the tacos, and all the re-fried bean, Spanish rice, good music and fun that goes with the Tacos!

Blessings!

MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2022

Monday, October 10, 2022 Sunny Chilly Still 46 degrees 10:22 a.m.

A beautiful Fall day. W aren’t supposed to get much past 60 for a high as the clod front finally made its way through. We have another one coming the end of the week, so they say. It was 36 when we got up this morning. Brrrr!

The weekend was buys. Tina got up and went out and started painting the hall bathroom closet door and entrance door. Charles came over Friday evening and helped take them down and put them in the car port. Tina got her hair done, then we went to Jerry’s to watch the Tennessee Vols beat UVULA (University of Louisiana). They beat them good. After that we went to Rooms to GO and picked out another floor lamp to replace the one we bought the previous Saturday that is WAY TO BIG for our space. Then a stop at the Christian book Store and “sold” them three books. They take used books and give you credit for them. then back to Oak Ridge and a stop at Kroger’s for a few needed items. Finally home. That took care of Saturday.

Sunday we did church, then laundry, Tina finished painting the doors, and fixed Sour cream chicken enchiladas. Mayor Bill and Charles came over for dinner. Charles helped Tina put the bathroom doors back up. Well, the got the entrance door up with new hinges but the closet door they didn’t get back up. Charles said that he still can’t figure out how to get them back up. So, there it stands, leaning against the shelves in the bathroom closet. Dinner was good.

Now it is Monday and Tina has gone to work, I am busy around the house finishing up what needs to be done before Jeff arrives. Dottie is coming over to cut my hair, or do something with it. I have just a few things I need to get done, then I hope an afternoon of relaxation.

Have a great Monday. Make it a profitable, pleasant, pleasing and fun.

FRIDAY. OCTOBER 7, 2022

Friday, October 7, 2022 Sunny Breezy Warm 76 Degrees 2:02 p.m.

I am late with the blog today. We had a delivery of a lamp and I had to have things out of the way for it. It is one of those big ones with the three arms that over hang the couch, etc.. I think it is tooooo big for this room. I have moved it around and tried it a couple of ways but haven’t found the right look or spot for it. I do know that it is heavy, will hit fan, wall, pictures, etc. if not put in the right spot. I am anxious to see how Tina likes it. She usually thinks bigger is better, so we shall see.

Sierra is happy. I put the cat tree back right by the lamp and se can see out the window so is happy. Milo hasn’t tried it as yet. He is at the door watching I don’t know what. They both spend a lot of time in the cat tree.

This weekend is going to be cooler but dry. So the doors from the bathroom will be painted and put back up. They are down and in the carport. And I hope to go through some clothes and maybe send some to Karns as I know it is time for a few to go. Jeff and Nanette will be here this coming week so want to be ready for their visit. Oh, yes, grocery shopping.
