Monday, April 3, 2023 Cloudy Cool Sprinkling 59egrees 5:34 p.m.

Monday! The weekend is over and the work week has started. Here it is April and Easter is nearly here. I hope all have gone out and acquired your Easter Finery. I also hope and pray that the weather is nice, warm and sunny for Sunrise Services on Sunday. i have always thought it sad that the ladies get a pretty new dress and shoes for Easter Sunday and then have to wear a coat over all as it is to cold to not have a coat. ):

Saturday we had terrible winds, in the neighborhood of 70 + mph. We went out to the grocery store in the afternoon and the wind nearly blew us plus the cart of groceries over. It did blow the roof off of a dugout in Rockwood. The wood sailing through the air hit a lady and a child in the ball field across the way. They were taken to the hospital where she lady died a few hours later.

I have noticed that Charles’ roof over the car port is in tatters. The roofs of the car ports are made of some type of rubber and are supposed to be very good and last well. His is now needing to be replaced. I have no idea how old his is so maybe it is just time. That is sad though. We are to get another storm Wednesday into Thursday so hope that it isn’t as fierce.

Sunday was calmer and sort of sunny. We stayed in and didn’t do much of anything. Saturday morning we cleaned the ‘sewing room”. It looks so nice now that we got rid of the vanity that will go in Tina’s room soon I hope. More room to work in. And I can find every thing.

Quote of the day: “(Moms) are the worlds greatest actresses. We have to act as if our heart isn’t breaking when our child comes home from school crying because he doesn’t have any friends. And yet we will never receive an Academy Award….We are the most overworked and underpaid occupation there is. And yet, we are the most important.” Mary Jo Malone

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a safe, good weather, productive and fun day.

Blessings
