SUNDAY, APRIL 9, 2023 HAPPY EASTER

Wishing you a very Happy, Healthy, Safe, and Blessed Easter Sunday

Quote from my Calendar: “God cleanses us and makes us new. I like to say the one thing God cannot see is our sin because it is covered by the blood of Jesus. We are forgiven—-and as Christians we know it!”

Have a glorious day.

THURSDAY, APRIL6, 2023

Thursday, April 6, 2023 Mostly cloudy Breezy Warm 77 Degrees 2:56 p.m.

A nice day. So far, no rain. The weatherman said that we might have showers and or thunderstorms through Friday and possibly Saturday. So far, all is dry and lovely. The birds are busy singing and chattering and eating. I have seen two small lizards securing along and the bumblebees are out and about. Spring is here.

We had bible study this morning. It was good. Today’s topic from the Truth Project was showing the truth about the bible being true. It is the most fascinating book and one that has to be read in different parts rather then from front to back. Today was about the mysterious number of Hebrew kings. How and when they ruled and about the two calendars created when Joram and Jehoram supposedly had conflict. So interesting and I need to watch that DVD again. A whole lot to take in when the DVD is an hour long and has so much information given forth.

Sierra is trying to help me with my blog. Yesterday we really had a battle over her will against mine. I won that battle so she has thought better of trying to walk and sit on the keyboard today. But she is here, right beside it. She wants treats and petting and my lap ti curl up on and nap. Yes, she is spoiled.

Quote of the day: ” HOW TO KNOW YOU’RE GETTING OLD: You put your keys on the dresser, and they mysteriously wind up on the top of the fridge. You lay the remote on the TV and find it later under the sofa. You slip your wallet into your purse (or pant’s pocket) , and the enxt morning it is on the front seat of your car:” My calendar

Have a great rest of your Thursday. Make it a pleasant, cheerful, prosperous, kind and fun day.

Blessings

WEDNESDAY, APRIL5, 2023

Wednesday, April 5, 2023 Sunny Warm Windy 85 Degrees 3:55 p.m.

We are enjoying a bit of sunny, warm weather before the next storm moves in tonight. Thunderstorms are likely on and off from tonight through tomorrow. Springtime in Tennessee. I understand that the rest of the US is experiencing “weather” also. I think Las Vegas was to have a high of 59 today, with sunshine. I’ll bet they are happy with that.

I spent yesterday in Knoxville with Dottie. We visited, went to Turkey Creek , had lunch at Five Guys, toured Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Both stores are very big and interesting. That Hobby Lobby is much bigger then the one here or the one in Las Vegas. I had a great time in there just looking. I bought a couple of things but not a great deal. Fun though.

Tina picked me up after she got off work and we came home. We were expecting the landscaper man who said that he was coming to measure something but he either came before we got home or forgot. We had a bite of dinner then watched TV, mostly with out eyes closed. We were watching The Voice and I missed a few of the contestants. It is the Knockout rounds now. They have some exceptionally good talented people on there this year. Maybe I can stay awake and watch the rest of the show tonight.

The birds are very busy this afternoon. The birdhouse that is hanging in the dogwood trees has tenants in it. They are small, black, gray and white birds and have worked hard to “furnish” their home for their young. It is so much fun to watch them. Since we put a different bird feeder up that has a small perch area the cowbirds have moved on. We are not getting the sparrows, finches, several smaller birds of different types, the cardinals, blue jays and the woodpecker. He is so funny and fun to watch.

Quote of the day: “You never can think what a good place Heaven is without knowing who (Jesus) was and what He did.” Charles Dickens

Have a great rest of you Hump Day. Make it a happy, inviting, profitable, energetic and fun day.

Blessings

Monday, April 3, 2023 Cloudy Cool Sprinkling 59egrees 5:34 p.m.

Monday! The weekend is over and the work week has started. Here it is April and Easter is nearly here. I hope all have gone out and acquired your Easter Finery. I also hope and pray that the weather is nice, warm and sunny for Sunrise Services on Sunday. i have always thought it sad that the ladies get a pretty new dress and shoes for Easter Sunday and then have to wear a coat over all as it is to cold to not have a coat. ):

Saturday we had terrible winds, in the neighborhood of 70 + mph. We went out to the grocery store in the afternoon and the wind nearly blew us plus the cart of groceries over. It did blow the roof off of a dugout in Rockwood. The wood sailing through the air hit a lady and a child in the ball field across the way. They were taken to the hospital where she lady died a few hours later.

I have noticed that Charles’ roof over the car port is in tatters. The roofs of the car ports are made of some type of rubber and are supposed to be very good and last well. His is now needing to be replaced. I have no idea how old his is so maybe it is just time. That is sad though. We are to get another storm Wednesday into Thursday so hope that it isn’t as fierce.

Sunday was calmer and sort of sunny. We stayed in and didn’t do much of anything. Saturday morning we cleaned the ‘sewing room”. It looks so nice now that we got rid of the vanity that will go in Tina’s room soon I hope. More room to work in. And I can find every thing.

Quote of the day: “(Moms) are the worlds greatest actresses. We have to act as if our heart isn’t breaking when our child comes home from school crying because he doesn’t have any friends. And yet we will never receive an Academy Award….We are the most overworked and underpaid occupation there is. And yet, we are the most important.” Mary Jo Malone

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a safe, good weather, productive and fun day.

Blessings
