Wednesday, June 7, 2023 Cloudy Still Cool 69 Degrees 4:34 p.m.

They say it is going to rain. They say take your umbrella and rain gear. They say thunder and lightening are likely. They say possible hail. They say starting this afternoon. So far, nothing has materialized in the form of rain, thunder, lightening, wind, ??? Just clouds and one isn’t sure if the clouds are clouds or smoke from the fires in Canada. They say air quality isn’t very good, stay indoors as much as possible.

This afternoon I went over to Charles to meet Pamela’s new puppy. She is a shiatsu malaise mix, weights 2 lbs, 11 ounces and is named Buttercup. The name is bigger then she is. She is so cute and so sweet. Roxie likes her and they play. Oh, yes, she is 11 weeks old. Roxie, who is shiatsu and toy schnauzer, and weights 7 pounds and is 5 years old, I believe. Both cute and fun puppy dogs.

I didn’t invite them over here because Sierra has been very inhospitable towards other animals, especially puppy dogs. She didn’t go after Dallas because Dallas was bigger then she is, at 9 weeks old, however when Dallas went up to her she swatted her. She has gone after Roxie twice and Rocco once. She cornered both of them and wanted to hurt them. We got that nipped in the bud. So, for the dogs safety, we ask them to not be put down if they come in. She is jelous and doesn’t want Tina or I to even pet them or look at them.

Charles has two cats. They are about a year old. One of them came up to the puppy and the puppy chased it away. The cat is way bigger then the puppy. That was fun to watch. The cat jumped up on a chair and out of “harms” way.

Quote of the day: “Being a grandparent doesn’t mean we are old. but it does mean we have a special opportunity. We can be a source of unfailing, unquestioning, nonjudgmental, nonstop full powdered love for these children.” My calendar. I might add, Great Grandparent.

Have a great rest of your Hump Day. Make it a bright, sunny, adventurous, positive and fun day.

Blessings

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 Sunny, Hazy Breezy Warm 86 Degrees 5:27 p.m.

Another beautiful day. No rain, just sunshine . The haze is from the wild fires in Canada. They are having as many problems there as California has when they have wild fires. My heart goes out to the people there and to our people who are being effected by the smoke.

This has been a quiet day. I haven’t accomplished much other then washing Tina’s bedspread as Sierra gave her a hairball during the night. I didn’t mine washing HER bedspread while I was, and am, very thankful it wasn’t MY bedspread. Mine is heavier and larger. sierra sleeps at the foot of the bed, either Tina’s or mine. She takes turns.

Since there is nothing exciting and I believe my dinner is done, I will end this with the quote of the day:

“Under His wings, under His wings, Who from His love can sever? Under His wings my soul shall abide, Safely abide forever.” W.O. Cushing And Ira D. Sankey

Have a perfect Tuesday. Make it a pleasant, cheerful, exciting and fun day.

MONDAY, JUNE 5, 2023

Monday, June 5, 2023 Mostly Cloudy Raining/Sunny Warm 73 Degrees 4:55 p.m.

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend, filled with fun activities, rest, health and great weather.

This is an interesting weather afternoon. We have rain and sunshine together. It stops raining for a few minutes then it starts up again. The rain is welcome as we are about three inches short from April and May. Maybe June will make up for it. It was 81 but has cooled down to 73 degrees now and that is nice. I do believe if the rain goes away it will climb back up to the 80’s again. Add humidity to that. and ugh!

We had a stay at home weekend. It was wonderful to just hang around the house and get odds and ends done, read some, played on the computer, napped and enjoyed. Tina did the same and really enjoyed it as they had been short handed at work so everyone there had a bit more then their share to get done. I heard no complaints which was nice.

Tina will be late getting home this evening. she had to go to the post office, then to the bank, then to Home Depot, then to Walmart and I believe home is after all of that. I will wait and see how hungry she is before doing dinner. It is just to warm things up so no big deal. Last night we had aw-gratin potatoes with Ki0lbassa and veggie, and a cookie for dessert. It was tasty but the sausage was a bit spicier then normal. A different brand.

Today was laundry day, had it all done by noon. That gave me time to write a couple of letters and do a bit of cleaning before now, dinner time.

Quote of the day: ” The greatest beautifier is a contented heart and a happy outlook” My calendar

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a super adventurous, productive, positive, sunny and fun day.

FRIDAY, JUNE 2, 2023

Friday, June 2, 2023 Sunny Slight Breeze Few White Clouds 87 Degrees 3:35 p.m.

A very warm and sticky day. I think the breeze might help a little bit, but not a great deal. Tomorrow is supposed to be 90 degrees so a good day to stay home and cool. That, at least, sounds good.

Not a whole log going on around here today. The red Headed woodpecker is dining at the feeder and the doves are resting under the dogwood tree. No one is walking dogs or out for a stroll. Even the kids aren’t out playing. A quiet Friday for sure.

With nothing exciting to report I will pressed with the Quote of the day: “The blessings that come from reaching out to others cannot be overestimated.” My calendar

Have a great Friday and a happy, safe, energetic, cool and fun weekend.

Blessings
