HAPPY 247TH BIRTHDAY TO THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH WE CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY

This is the weekend that we remember, and celebrate all the men and women, past, present and future, who put their lives on the line so that we are able to enjoy the freedoms. and beauty of this great nation of ours. WE all need to remember that Freedom isn’t free, especially now with so many of America’s citizens facing the foes in our own country.

Today feels more like fall. We had a couple rain showers this morning, then just clouds. The sun has weakly peeked our in the past hour or so. The neighborhood squirrel has been very busy scurrying about looking for food to stash in his burro or nest. I believe he lives in a tree. There are sparrows flitting about getting seeds and whatever they eat and flying back up to their nest. They live in the cedar tree. I guess they stay here for the winter.

I believe Dillon will have the room finished tomorrow. He has worked diligently at doing a great job, not rushing through but rather taking the needed time to do it right. Tomorrow is painting. Yea! I am eager to get some of my stuff back in there and work on Christmas things. It is getting time to “help” Santa a bit. So much to do and so little time to do it in. So, what else is new?

Nothing big planned for this weekend. Tina is working on Christmas stuff and that is probably what I will be doing. I hope to take a couple of hours and sit down with my book and read. It is a good mystery and one that is hard to put down. Reading when I go to bed is perfect until I fall asleep and loose my place in the book!

Quote of the day: “Men are like parking spaces. All the good ones are already taken”. My Calendar

Have a great rest of your Friday and a patriotic, interesting, adventurous, relaxing and fun weekend. Make it a safe and healthy one.
