Tuesday, April 2, 2024 Cloudy Breezy Dreary Rain A’ coming 75 Degrees 4:04 p.m.

Today has been, and still is very cloudy and dreary. The weatherman says that a major storm is brewing and should hit here around 6:00 p.m. He said high winds, rain, thunder, lightening and the slight possibility of a tornado. Sounds like an interesting night to me. I do hope it waits until Tina gets home and we get dinner over with. I also hope the dishes get finished washing prior to, because I would like them done in case the power goes out.

Today I did the laundry. I wanted it all done before the storm hit as I was a day late doing it and it just keeps growing. Like the lawn, it needs doing once a week. The lawn needs mowing once every two weeks. If we keep getting rain it will need mowing every week also.

Some of my e-cards didn’t go through. Some did. Some said that the address was wrong and some said that they were rejected. A couple went to people who have passed on and their addresses had been removed by me. So, If you didn’t get an e-card from me, please let me know. I have no idea what is going on with that site. It might be weather, but I don’t know. Example: Dottie Lewis… I removed her name after she passed away. That card came back saying rejected. it shouldn’t of gone as it wasn’t on the list at all. Also people I don’t know so maybe their lists got mixed up. I have no clue. But I will work on solving that mystery.

There isn’t much else going on today. Dinner is going to be hot dogs, mac and cheese and a veggie. Tomorrow I will fix the chicken as it didn’t thaw out enough for me to put in the air fryer tonight. I do like the air fryer.

MONDAY. APRIL 1, 2024

Monday, April 1, 2024 Mostly cloudy Breezy Warm 78 Degrees 4:05 p.m.

A beautiful spring day, though not much sun. The bumblebee has been busy all day flying around out front. He seems to be here spring through early fall. I call him our resident bumble bee. He never bothers anyone or anything so I think he is our resident bumble bee. Everyone needs one.

Easter Weekend was warm and breezy. It is nice to have it a bit warm, but am told by the weatherman that tomorrow evening the rain and cold returns for the a couple of days. Then the rain goes away but the chilly weather remains through the weekend. It is nice to not have either the heater or air conditioner going.

The weekend was busy. Jerry and Tammy came met us at Home Depot where we picked up the rest of the rocks for the flower bed. They brought them here and now the flower bed is finish thanks to both of them. It looks so nice and neat and cheerful. Both Tina and I are so appreciative of their major help in getting this done. We couldn’t of done it without them and Dottie.

We have the most considerate doves and squirrels here. They “keep off the grass” and walk on the sidewalk. I think it is so funny. The squirrel went by with a nut in his mouth, walking on the sidewalk in front of the door. He had a destination so looked neither left or right. So funny.

Friday, While at Dottie’s, she stepped wrong and twisted her ankle so it was swollen pretty good before I noticed it. She kept it hidden so that I wouldn’t see it. Tina came and Dottie moved just right, let out a small yelp, and then we saw the ankle. That called for an ice pack and her foot put up in the air. She keeps saying it is alright, it will be alright. I sure hope so.

Have a great rest of you day. Remember to make it foolish as it is April Fool’s Day.
