Friday, May 31, 2024 Mostly Cloudy Breezy Warm 69 Degrees 12:37 p.m.

A quiet day in our neighborhood. The normal people have been out for their daily walks, haven’t see a dog at all, but then, I have been busy in the kitchen and not at my desk. There are a few birds out and about, and the FED X truck has been by a couple of times. That is all the excitement.

When Tina got home from work yesterday evening, she suggested we go to COSCO. She had mentioned it earlier so I assumed that we were going, so was ready. I had talked to Dottie and asked if she needed anything from there an she said yes and gave me a short list. So when Tina drove in the driveway I was out there waiting for her. We stopped at Dottie’s and picked up her list, then off we went. it was more crowded then we thought it would be, but still not too bad. We got what we needed and checked out and left. It took about 45 minutes which isn’t bad for COSCO. We only got the groceries and paper goods that were needed, not the looking and “I think I can use or want or need that” which can make the trip two hours or more.

After leaving there we went to Olive Garden and had dinner, half of which we brought home. There food is always so good and service is great. There were large parties waiting for tables but since it was just the two of us we got seated right away.

Leaving there we went to Dottie’s and gave her her groceries. She came out and wore a mask so not really any close contact. I sure will be glad when she gets over all this stuff and is back to normal, what ever that is. Max, her dog, is enjoying all the lap time as she doesn’t have energy to do much else. She is supposed to rest so that is good. It keeps her booted foot up and that is another plus.

We arrived home and put our the stuff away and sat in the recliner for about 45 minutes, watched TV and petted Sierra, who was a bit miffed since dinner was late. She got happy after eating and some lap time.

While in Kroger’s the other day a lady came up to me, gently tapped me on the shoulder and said, ” Great!” I turned around and looked at her and said, “Pardon me?” She said “Great!”. I guess I looked ignorant as she pointed to my head and said,”GREAT HAIR CUT!”. She smiled and walked away. I said, “Thanks.” Am not sure she heard me or not. My adventures at the grocery store.

Have a wonderful last day of May. Enjoy June 1, and the weekend. Make all a safe, adventurous, exciting, enjoyable and fun time.
