Monday, July 1, 2024 Sunny, Windy, Dry 85 Degrees 3: 37 P.M.

Here it is Monday, and the first day of July. This year is flying by at top speed. So far it has been an interesting, busy, fun and expensive year. For the house we have [put new flooring in the TV room, back bathroom and craft room. We have bought a new car. We have bought a new HVAC system, and we have had all the vents cleaned by Stanley Steamer. For us, personally, we have gotten new glasses. Better to read the invoices with, you know.

Our big outing was a trip to Granger, Tennessee to May- Berry RFD days . That was so much fun. That was the high lite so far. Later on this month we will go to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opery, and shopping. I think that will be a great time also. More about that trip on the 22nd.

This weekend we we worked on getting the carport cleaned up, and cleared out so that both cars could be parked in there. The only on e who thought that would be possible was Tina. She was correct. WE now can comfortably get both cars parked in there nicely. I am so thankful. The old car, my car, likes being in the shade on these hot days, and out of the rain and sun’s rays. I like not having to walk across the rough driveway to get to the car.

Tammy and Jerry came over yesterday and helped with a few things, like getting the water on for the faucet out front and moving the hose back there. What a help that is. I now can water the plants with the hose rather then carrying water from the kitchen to the plants out front. He also replaced the filter in the fridge. That is something that takes a strong man to do. It is a pain. He put up a rack for our brooms, rakes, shovel etc and took the holder we had . It has been re homed. That and the charcoal BBQ and a few other things. Something had to go to make room for two cars. So thing got re-homed between Tammy, – Jerry and Dottie. It is nice to keep it all in the family.

Quote of the day: “Like billowing clouds, like incessant gurgle of the brook, the longing of the soul can never be stilled. It is this longing with which holy persons seek their work from God.” Hildegard of Bingen, 1098 – 1179, German Nun/Christian poet.

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a pleasant, profitable, productive, and fun day.

Blessings
