A beautiful day in Oak Ridge. We woke up to frost on the roofs and a chilly temperature of 33 degrees. But now it is sunny and 66 degrees at 4:40 p.m. It is still, no breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. The squirrel has been by to check for any birdseed, then the chipmunk came and visited and finally the dove made a brief appearance. The bird feeders need filling.
Today I have worked in the craft room. I got a lot of stuff put away and a bit thrown. I have a lot to shred as there were duplicates of stuff. So for the meantime, it is looking nice and there is room to work in there. I hope that it will stay that way for a while.
The weekend is looking good at the moment. Tina and I are going grocery shopping when she gets home. Tomorrow she is cleaning her room and bathroom, then going and picking up Dottie and bringing her out here to do some crafts……and a visit. She hasn’t been here for awhile, and Max needs a change of scenery. The plan is to put Spaghetti in the crockpot and let it cook all day while we do whatever we want. Maybe throw in a garage sale or two. Who knows. There is always plenty of things going on around here. And we must vote!!!
Quote of the day: “There is nothing so kingly as kindness. And nothing so royal as truth.” Alice Cary, 1820 – 1871, American poet.
What happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives…things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. Galatians 5:22-23
Have a great rest of your Friday, and a super fantastic weekend. Enjoy all the fall activities, cooler air and more energy. Make it an adventurous, relaxing, enjoyable and safe weekend.
Blessings
