A Dry, mostly sunny , beautiful Thursday afternoon. This will be the 3 day in May without rain. That will end tomorrow. I am enjoying it while it lasts. The bad weather has been hard on the phones, computers, etc. For me, mostly dropped calls. Others have had power failure and some flooding. Here, puddles. It is 80 degrees right now, 3:28 p.m.

Yesterday I went and got shots in my back. Came home ate a late lunch, sat down and took a two hour nap that was not in my plans. Last night I couldn’t sleep, dozed, tossed and turned. That nap didn’t help I am thinking. But have felt great today and accomplished a lot. Needless to say I didn’t get my blog done.

The gentleman who mows our lawn was here and mowed. Just in time for more rain. I am sure I can sit here and watch the grass grow. He says that he is overwhelmed keeping the lawns mowed. I don’t know how many he has but I imagine upwards of 30. He mows at least twice a month and more if needed. When the grass isn’t growing very fast, like in the summer, he only comes once a month, if needed. He doesn’t charge when he doesn’t mow.

Now much news around here. Next week school is out so won’t even have the school buses. No dogs being walked and a few birds out hunting worms and birdseed. We have a very busy chipmunk that keeps running bast the front door. Back and forth about fifty times this afternoon. the squirrel was out a bit but he has gone to check out other trees and bird feeders. Ours needs filling again. They are hungry all the time.

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “For Dry Hair – add a cupful of baby oil to your regular shampoo. It conditions and gives it a shine, softness and easier to handle.”

Have a great rest of your Thursday. Make it a fun, relaxing, profitable, and productive day.

TUESDAY, MAY 13, 2025

Today, like most of the days in May, so far, is a rainy, thundering, lightening day. No wind at the moment but we had a breeze earlier, and the day is still young so there is time for the wind to pick up.

Yesterday, the thunder and lightening were giving off signals to stay indoors and off all the electronics. The weather lady kept everyone informed about where the worst of the storms were and when we should take cover. She forgot to tell us to take our umbrellas. Also the big storm wasn’t to hit until late afternoon. We believed her!

The hospital was without power for three or more hours. Of course they have generators so all the needed equipment that was needed worked just fine. However Tina said that evidently her computer wasn’t among the most urgently needed equipment so she wasn’t able to do a few thing.

Here, I stayed off the computer and pretty much off the phone as it wasn’t working well either. I went to bible study in the morning. It wasn’t raining when I went but was pouring when I came out. None of us brilliant ladies took an umbrella in with us. Needless to say we were wet by the time we reached our cars. I didn’t melt!

Today we have had clouds, sun rain, clouds, sun rain. right now it is clouds with the sun working hard at peeking through. The rain just ended a few minutes ago but I am sure it will return in a few minutes. It will return about the time Tina is to return home from work.

The weekend was great. We went to town, visited Dottie and admired her new sectional. It is lovely. Max isn’t very happy with it as she said no to him being on it. He is testing her every way he knows how and she isn’t giving in. Poor puppy. It is all white so I don’t blame her for not wanting him on the couch. White material is hard to keep clean. But, it is pretty and very comfortable.

Mother’s Day we went to Jerry and Tammy’s. it was fun and good food. The dogs are delightfully friendly and entertaining. The meal was delicious, and he company fantastic. A fun afternoon. their home is so nice and comfortable and the yard is luxurious. I could gaze at it all day long.

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “Vinegar for cooking and cleaning. It removes decals, cleans paint brushes, stains, opens drains, cleans leather, softens sweaters, eliminates odors, cleans windows, etc.

Now it is time to head to the kitchen and start preparing dinner. Tina is on her way home and I am sure she will be ready for dinner when I get it fixed. We are having stuffed baked potatoes.

Have a Taco Tuesday rest of your day. Make it a fun, interesting, adventurous and relaxing one.

Blessings

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2025 & THURSDAY, MAY 8, 2025

Good morning

As time seems to speed by me, leaving a list of things I needed or wanted to do, waiting for me to do. So I am getting a head start on the blog this morning and including yesterday’s and today’s in one email.

Yesterday I was very busy getting ready for Tevia and Chael to come and spend a couple of days. Last evening Diana texted me that Tevia had a fever, scratchy throat and not feeling well. She said Deagan was ill and had called in, not being able to go to work. Bryan had been sick all last weekend and she felt that his bug was hitting them all, one by one. She is hoping that they can come next weekend. We are hoping that also. I am in hopes that next weekend it won’t be raining.

We also had Crafts last evening. Tina didn’t go as she had PT right after work, and they were rough on her arm. She stayed home with the heating pad on her arm and shoulder, and a pain pill. Sierra was there, in her lap, nursing her. I went and it was mostly visiting, three ladies were knitting and one crocheting. I must learn.

Today I am doing a bit of laundry, floors, stories, and that should take care of the day. Tina wants me to be ready to go shopping when she gets here after work. she needs to get a baby present and take it in to work tomorrow. The weather lady said that we would have a dry morning with a bit of sun, but at around 4:00 p.m. the bad storm was due to hit, bringing high winds, hail and rain. Tina get off work at 4:00 p.m. so I might text her and tell her to shop in the gift store there and come straight home and get her car under the car port. She worries about the hail damaging her car.

Since the kids aren’t coming today, I guess I will have to treat the day like a normal day and do housework, and computer work. The kids would of been much more fun and enjoyable, but one must play the cards that are dealt to one. I feel bad that they are sick and hope and pray that they have a speedy and full recovery. Tina and I are looking forward to next weekend with them now.

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “To remove decals from a wall or other furniture, dip a cotton ball in boiled vinegar and sponge the decal with it. Sponge until the decal is thoroughly soaked, then simply wash the decal away.”

I hope your yesterday was great and that your today is filled with energy, adventure, productivity, and fun.

Blessings!

TUESDAY, MAY 6, 2025

A mostly sunny day and right now it is 71 degrees at 5:28 p.m. There are clouds floating around, the hint of rain tomorrow, but at the moment it is sunny and so pretty.

Tina got home, then took me to the post office to mail three things. 2 late birthday cards and a Mother’s day day car from Olive to Charlene with a small package in it. Sierra stuck a note in there . Those 2 felines do keep in touch.

Today was laundry day so that is accomplished as well as a few other chores that needed doing. Slowly but surly I am getting caught up on things. I find that I am slower then I was as I have to sit and put my let up every so often. That is aggravating but necessary for it to heal. That I do want to accomplish. I have been pretty good about using my cane, wearing my life alert necklace, and being careful where I step. The Golden Years! My finger has healed nicely. Now I just have the dead skin surrounding the cut to get rid of. I will probably go to the dermatologist and have her cut that off.

Since I didn’t get everything done today that I wanted to, it will get put on the agenda for tomorrow. We have Crafts tomorrow evening and I need to get the attendance sign in sheet made up and ready. I have stories to write and floors to vacuum and furniture to dust. One would think that Sierra would help with the dusting as her tail would be perfect. But, she just sits and watches me, or wants to play with the duster. I guess I am stuck with the dusting and entertaining her.

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “When washing wool blankets or quilts made from woolen scraps, add 1 cup of mothballs or crystal to the rinse water. Your blanket will be protected from while they are stored.”

Here it is dinner time so had better get in the kitchen and get with it. Have a great evening, fill it with relaxation, good company, games, safety and fun.
