A beautiful, Sunny spring day. A few high clouds but nothing serious. It is so nice to see the sunshine, even if it is only a day or two.The temperature is in the 80’s. Right now it is 82 degrees and the time is 3:48 p.m.

Today we had the Ex-stream Climate out to do the bi-yearly maintenance on the HVAC system. It is a year old this month. He checked the hot water heater also and it is just fine. He said maybe three or four years we should have it drained just to get the sediment out. I will mark that on the calendar.

Yesterday I went to a Christian Woman’s Luncheon. It was very nice and the speakers were interesting. I met a few interesting ladies who live in Clinton. They said that they come every month as this event is held every month. This is sponsored by Oak Ridge, TN Christian Women’s Connection. They are affiliated with STONECRAFT. I might go back next month, depending on what goes by then. It is the 8th of July and I have to check on appointments prior to making plans.

Fran won’t go next month as she and a friend who will be visiting her will be traveling to see THE ARK and THE CREATION MUSEUM, as well as the WHITE SOCK’S BASEBALL MUSEUM. They will enjoy it all. We sure did.

After the luncheon I came home and called Charlene. We hadn’t talked for a while and it was time to catch up. She is doing O.K., busy with her quilting. They, her quilting group, are making shirts for the Christmas Trees at the White-house. They have several to make and time is flying by quickly. She also makes dog scarves that her daughter-in-law sells on her Tic-Tock program. She is a busy lady. Then Tina arrived home as it was already 4:30 and she gets off work at 4:00. That meant time to get dinner. there went the day.

This morning Sierra slipped out so spend 30 minutes hunting her. I finally decided that she would come back on her own when she was ready so propped the door open and came in. When was gone about an hour before she finally moseyed in. I hate when she gets out, and I am sure she goes over to Bill’s because he doesn’t like cats, or dogs, etc. I know she went to Charles because that is where I was trying to get her to come home. That is at the west end of the building. She will be getting a collar or a harness and a leash and then she can go out. I will hang her on the tree limb!! Her leash! Did I mention there is a bear in the neighborhood?

The beginning of a new week, the 2nd week of June. I have been off the blog for a bit over a week as the site disappeared. I believe one of the thunderstorms knocked it off. I tried to get it back and probably messed it up more. Jerry was over and got it back up and running. We have had thunder storms and rain most every day this month. Last month we didn’t have rain for 6 or 8 days out of the whole month, and this month seems to be starting off the same. We are due for another thunderstorm around dinner time.

I have three young men over here working on the flower bed. they are earning money for their Senior High School Trip to Europe….France, Spain. Germany, etc. They are hard working and doing an excellent job so far. I will have one or two of them over in the fall to help with the shed. I know that one f them works part time at one of the fast food places here.

Tevia, my great granddaughter, was here this weekend. She is 11 for another month. (her birthday is July 9th. ) She is fun and enjoyable, full of ideas, talent and energy. She made about 20 tie throws for us to take to nursing homes and visit those who don’t have people who are able to visit them. From what I understand there are quite a few that don’t have family or people who live close enough or are unable to visit. There are three or four of us who will start doing that soon.

Tevia made Tina and I the cutest heart shaped, 3-D picture and also she painted Tina an Butterfly and me a cat. so cute and so pretty. This young lady is so talented. She does the tie blankets, she couchettes, she paints, makes things on their 3-d printer. Plus she has a guini pig, and two beautiful ducks. She helps her mom around the house, loves to clean and helps keep her two older brothers on their toes. And she is pretty as a picture. She has a whole year and one month before she becomes a teenager so sure hope all her great habits and qualities don’t change then.

Tina will have to have rotator cup surgery. We just don’t know when. She is hoping to put it off until October when she has learned more on her job and also when all the other girls are back from maternity leave and other medical things. They are short staffed when they are all there. she does like this job and is enjoying learning and working there. I like the hours and the shorter drive to work.

Last week was a busy one but can’t think why. I had two doctor appointments, one in Knoxville. Both followups. Friday I went with Jerry to pick up Tevia and that was interesting as we got to see a lot of new country, at least to me. He was looking for a bakery that made the stuff he buys at one of the convenience stores in Knoxville. It was way off the interstate, so got to see some very pretty and picturesque homes, farms and pastures as well as trees and gardens. All so well kept and neat.

The bakery he was looking for was there, but they bake the stuff but don’t serve it there or sell it there. He was thinking we would have lunch there. Lunch ended up about an hour away at Araby’s. A great trip though. I love going on adventure trips with him. Tevia was more interested in lunch at Araby”s.

Wah’s House Hold Hints part of this is temporally down as Diana has my mom’s book for a bit. I hope that they will be back soon. In the meantime I will take things from the different little books that she had. they always have something worthwhile writing about. Today’s is” Keeping score of old scores and scares, getting even and one-upping always make you less than you are.” Malcolm Forbes, (1919 – 1990) Publisher.

Time for me to get in the kitchen and start supper. Chicken, rice, veggie and salad. So have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a productive, adventurous, cheerful and fun day.

Blessings!
