Monday’s child is fair of face. Monday’s weather is full of sunshine, also a bit breezy.there are a few fair weather clouds floating around, and the temperature at 2:54 p.m. is 89 degrees. A beautiful July day.
We woke up to fog this morning as there was a thunderstorm last night. The fog cleared quickly and the day has been lovely. Tina went to work early as she was going to the food doctor about her foot. She has been in pain since Saturday afternoon and she thought it was just arthritis, but by yesterday afternoon she had a lump the size of a jack’s ball and all the creams and sprays wasn’t touching the pain. She was able to get a shoe on this morning and went to work. Her appointment is in about 15 minutes so am eager to see what the doctor says it is. I am wondering if she somehow broke a bone , or maybe sprained her foot??? Time will tell, like about an hour or two.
Saturday was a “goof off” day. We went to breakfast at First Watch. Then we went to Great Clips and got our hair cut. After that we went to Knoxville and met Jerry, Tammy, and Dottie at Tthe Flying Biscuit. They were having breakfast so we sat and visited. WE hope to go there in a coupler of weeks. We were going Saturday but Tina kept trying to find out what time they opened. She kept putting in Mamma’s Biscuits. There is no such place around these parts. Now we know the proper name of the place we will try it on Saturday, the 26th. She is on call this coming weekend.
After that Dottie Tina and I went to Publix’s and got a few items. We left there and went to Dottie’s to put them in her fridge until we got finished goofing off. From there we went to the mall and to Penny’s. Tina paid her bill and then we did some shopping. Tina got a couple of pairs of slacks for work. The hospital is on the cool side so she gets chilled. I found a blouse to go with a pair of slacks I purchased a while back. By the time we toured there we were ready to go home. Dottie was tired and so were Tina and is, so back to Dottie’s where we dropped her off and got out groceries, then wee headed for Oak Ridge. We knew we couldn’t go home without cat food, so went to Walmart and finished the grocery list. But, Pet Smart for the cat food. Then home, unloaded the car, put groceries away, ate chick Filet for dinner and sat down and watched TV.
Sunday was church, the a quick trip to Kroger’s for the three items we forgot . We got home, ate lunch, then Tina decided to take pictures of the recliners and put them on Facebook Market place. One of her friends came over and helped her on the pricing. So by about 2:30 she had them on Face Book Market place. She got several calls, but the first call said she wanted them and could get them in a few minutes, money in hand. So by 5:30 p.m. they were gone. We didn’t expect them to go so fast, so we are now “coach potatoes”until we get a couple of chairs that fit us. These were in excellent condition, leather, battery operated, and comfy, if you are taller then 5’2” or so. They were perfect when we bought them, five and a half years ago.
