Another beautiful July day in Tennessee. It is sunny, a bit breezy, and at 3:11 p.m. the temperature is 88 degrees. We had a couple of good rain showers last night. It sure helped the grass a bit, but a little more wouldn’t hurt. I do appreciate the sunshine so am not complaining.

Today I went to the knee doctor and after X-rays, he said that my knee is healing nicely. He said that the PT exercise is good for strengthening my legs but if it hurts to much to quit and do the main exercises at home. Also to use my bike thing as that will help also. He said that it is the upper leg muscles and the core muscle that is the most important as that keeps one able to walk and mobile. I will keep doing the PT and hope that it hurts less. I go back the 11th of August. He also said that the exercises helped my back and that if that hurts to much to quit the PT. The loser back is fused. He is such a good doctor, very good at explaining everything and showing the X-rays. He even asked how Tina’s shoulder was working out and if she was planning on having surgery. He said she chose the best doctor for her back surgery. When we got back in the car she asked how he knew all about her back and surgery? I said he cares about his patients so keeps track of them.

After we got home, Tina made herself a sandwich for lunch and went back to work. She was at work by 6:00 this morning, picked me up for the doctor visit in Knoxville at 8:15, arrived there at 8:40, saw the doctor at 9:00, left there at 9:30, arrived back here at 9:55, she left here at 10:05 and will work until 4:30 this evening.

Now that our new living room chairs are here and the room looks comfortable and homey once again, it is a pleasure to sit and relax. I think I need to find a light for the Christmas Cactus as my rigged up one doesn’t work to well. The plant is to big for the stand I got and to big for the window seat thing it was on, so I will look for something else. It sure is pretty though. I also need to get arm covers for both chairs as these aren’t leather. So, maybe covers for the arms and the head.

Wah’s House Hold Hints and such: From Wah’s book, Kitchen Secrets of The Daughters of Norway, I will add one of the poems. “LOVE” The greatest gift upon this earth is love, the affinity of God; The eternal tie which binds the home; That which makes the elements of Nature more beautiful; the flowers which bloom, The birds that sing, The gay laughter of cheerful boys and girls, All elements of Nature Free to those who seek it. Love, the eternal symbol of humanity”. Written by Miss Florence Hay Round***

Have a great rest of your Thursday. Keep it cheerful, busy, and fun
