A beautiful day after an early morning rain. It is humid and a bit warmer this afternoon, but really pretty. the wind is blowing a bit so the breeze is nice. The temperature is 78 degrees.I am noticing that the trees are just starting to turn a bit yellow. Fall is right around the corner, knocking on summer’s back door.

I believe that today the roof and gutters are completed. There may be a bit of touch-up work to be done but it looks fantastic! I love the feeling of no leaks and the gutter not falling off. Beauty is one thing but safety is another and the most important.

Sierra is curled up in Tina’s chair, very comfortable, snoozing away. I had to close the window because it got to warm and humid in here. So I am in the dog house with her. She loves having that window open so she can watch all the goings on outside without the birds, squirrels, chipmunk and puppy dogs seeing her. Sitting in front of the storm door, watching the world go by was fine until one of the dogs being walked spied her and headed towards the door. fortunately the Dog’s master was paying attention so didn’t get pulled off her feet and the dog didn’t get very far on its trip to the door to “Meet ” Sierra.

I haven’t found any more hints but also haven’t had time to look. I will try and get on that tomorrow. It is a bit hard to concentrate with all the workers around here. The banging and hammering, etc. tends to interrupt one’s concentration. I was told that it was the nail gun and the stapler that make the most noise.

Have a good rest of your Hump day. Make it profitable, pleasant, productive and fun.

HAPPY LABOR DAY..A DAY LATE!

I hope that you had a great Labor Day weekend, safe and filled with fun and enjoyment, rest and relaxation. For most laces the weather wasn’t tooo bad. Here we had nice temperatures, in the low 80’s and high 70’s. Today we had a couple of showers watering all plants. Now the sun is out for a bit It is 78 degrees with a light breeze.

Labor Day: I imagine that when I was in school they taught us about Labor Day. But since then I have had a birthday or two so did some research and here is what I found:: LABOR DAY was Inaugurated by Knights of Labor, 1882, to honor nation’s workers. It was made a national holiday in 1894. Oregon was the first state to make Labor Day a legal holiday (1887) and Congress made it a national holiday in 1894, setting aside the first Monday in September for its observance throughout the country. Now we know.

WE had a great three day weekend. Saturday, Tammy, Dottie, Jerry and Tina helped me celebrate my birthday. Tammy, Dottie, Tina and I did a painting class that was on U-Tube. We painted Christmas Trees. Mine looks more like a giant bush while the other three trees look like very perfect Christmas Trees. Dottie gave up trying to follow the ‘teacher” and did it her way. She had the best tree,,so original and so interesting and defiantly Christmas. It was fun.

Jerry brought the ribs, Dotty brought the green beans and potatoes, and cornbread muffins. We had macaroni salad. Tina ordered my birthday cake from Publix’s and it was in the shape of a Highland Heifer’s head. So cute and so good. Jerry also brought a pumpkin cake roll that is delicious. What a great day! Thanks to all who wished me Happy Birthday on Facebook and e-mails, and texts. I appreciate each and every one.

Sunday Tina ended up working all day Sunday. I took the day to just do whatever I felt like, which wasn’t much. I read, did my games and watched TV. Tina got home and we went to Walmart and Pet Smart, having dinner at Apple bee’s. We hadn’t been there for ages so did enjoy it, WE thought that a great idea as the kitchen was cleaned and all the dishes were washed. So nice.

Yesterday I used Labor Day to do labor and did the laundry, a bit of housework, etc. I made Tuna salad and boiled some eggs, have veggies and all that will help Tina with lunches for the week. Tonight we are having fish sticks for dinner. Tomorrow I am planning on having chicken but will wait and see.

Now that Summer season is over and we can start looking forward to fall and all the pretty trees with their colors, the smell of pumpkin spices and all the great smells, I guess it is time to start looking into the fall and winter closes for the coming season. I think that means washing the sweaters.

I will be hunting hints for Wah’s House Hold Hints, but for now, it is “Hint-less.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Make it a sunshiny, cheerful, productive and fun day.

Blessings
