Monday, October 2, 2023 Sunny Wispy Clouds Calm 84 Degrees 4:16 p.m.

A beautiful October day. Warm, sunny, calm, and peaceful. As I type the breeze came up. We usually have wind for a bit in the late afternoons but nothing very serious. Not at all like Searchlight’s winds. The weather person said that we should have very warm and sunny days through Thursday and then the cold front will start to move in and the temperatures will drop down into the 60’s. We should have a chilly weekend. Yes, Fall is here.

The weekend was great. Saturday we went to Knoxville and picked up Dottie. Then went to lunch at Red Robin. The hamburgers were great. Dottie said that hers was very good. She is the hamburger queen so if she approves one knows it was a great place to go for lunch.

After leaving there we went to Painted Tree Market Place. It is a humongous place with different cubicles and areas with crafts and items made by individuals. It is so interesting. We were there about 2 hours, visiting each stall, booth or area. We found lots of things we would like for ourselves or as gifts for someone else. Of course, Tina bought a purse. I bought three gifts for Christmas presents. So much fun and we will go back.

After leaving there we went to Barns and Nobel as I was looking for a special notebook, which they didn’t have. Tina found something she couldn’t leave without. Then we took Dottie home, visited with Max for a few and then headed home. A stop at Walmart for needed grocery items and that was the day. The recliners were calling our names by that time. Sierra did get her dinner and lots of lap time.

Sunday we got up, did church with Charles Stanley, then breakfast and on to cleaning the upstairs. That entailed dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, etc. We also went in the shed and started looking for some fall decorations that we know we have, but gave up after the first few buckets. The things we are looking for are probably packed away with the Christmas stuff so will get them out then and put them with the fall stuff. I thought I had it all put together but guess I didn’t quite make that goal. Maybe this year’s end.

Quote of the day: ” Music has provided soothing comfort. In happy times it has inspired me to even higher realms of joy. In times of loneliness, it has brought abundant comfort. Truly, it is a gift of heaven on earth!” My calendar

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a musical, cheerful, joyful and fun day.
