A sunny, warm, slightly breezy, Monday,to start the week off. It is 74 degrees at 3:53 p.m.. It is 74 degrees outdoors and feels like 64 degrees in the house. We get morning sun in the front part of the house then afternoon sun upstairs in two of the bedrooms. Being in the middle of the four townhouses, (we are #2) we have lots of shade, which is great in the summer but a bit “cool” come fall and winter.

The weekend was good, productive, fun and relaxing. Jerry Dottie came over and I believe three or four blankets got made. It is always fun when Dottie and Max come over. Sierra totally ignored Max and Max totally ignored Sierra. Spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread and salad was an early dinner, with Pumpkin spice cake for dessert. Jerry came and joined us for dinner. Of course the Vols and Arkansas football game came on , so the TV was busy. The Vols won which was great. It was a good game.

Tina and I accomplished quite a bit around the house this weekend. I packed up all the crafts that have been hanging around here for three or four years and sent them home with Jerry to take to Diana or give to her when they can get together. The kids can do them. The latch hook is to hard for Tina to see and i couldn’t get the hang of it. The rest the kids will enjoy doing ans most of it is Christmas stuff. Also some tea towels to paint. Tevia will enjoy that I am sure. She is such a talented girl. The boys may or may not be interested in some of it. They are defiant boys and mostly into computer games. And they all have a farm to take care of…sweet animals who need their TLC.

Tina worked on diamond art and blankets. I helped a bit on the blankets. Dottie and Tina did the majority of that. They are so pretty and soft. I think these are for the flood victims in the 8 counties that were affected here in Tennessee. I believe what will be made between now and Christmas will go to flood victims between Tennessee and North Carolina. In January they will start blankets for the nursing homes here in Oak Ridge.

Today I had bible study. It is very interesting to see how much our leader dose with her research and how much information she acquires. I knew the basics but learned a lot more when one goes into dept . I have a lot of studying to do.

Happy anniversary to Tammy and Jerry Walters and to Pamela and Jerry Ford. Both couples are celebrating their 2nd anniversary. This is their cotton anniversary. Also, Happy Birthday to Charles Mattson! He is turning 21 again.

Quote of the day: ” We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.” Dorothy Day, 1897 – 1980. American Writer, social Reformer.

Have a great rest of your Monday. Make it a productive, happy, adventurous and fun day.
