Another great July day. The temperature is 92 degrees, the clouds are moving in, there is a very slight breeze, and there is probably a thunderstorm close by, getting ready to visit us. Rain is welcome as things dry out in the heat, even though it is high humidity. Back here lawn mowing and lawn care are a big business, one that people make careers out of. The lawns get mowed at least twice a month, and sometimes more. One kid I know has 20 yards and charges $20.00 per yard per mow.
Today I went to PT this morning. They gave me another new stretch so worked on that a bit. So far so good. I do them at home and that helps a lot. The instructors are nice and make sure that you are able to do each exercise without hurting yourself. They expect it to be uncomfortable, and even hurt some, but not to the point of damage of what ever part of the body they are trying to get back working. I am noticing the difference since I have been going, two and a half weeks.
After PT I went to the Christian Women’s luncheon with Julie. It was very nice, the speaker was funny and good, and a lady was there that makes quilts out of tee shirts. She said that it wasn’t easy but it was what she started on and she only makes quilts out of tee shirts, nothing else, no other kind. A lady came and asked her to make her a tee shirt quilt for a California King. She passed that job on to another quilter as her machine arm wasn’t big enough for that. Thanks to Charlene I knew what she was talking about. The quilts that she brought to show were very pretty but also very dark. One was a military one made with the military, army green, gray, dark blue, and black. those colors are dark. The other one was motorcycle club tee shirts and it was also dark, black and some “silver”. Very well done, very pretty.
Lunch was baked chicken, potatoes, corn, green salad, macaroni and cheese cake . All very good. A great two hours with a bunch of fun and nice ladies.
Wah’s House Hold Hints; ” To remove a mildew stain: Pre-treat as soon as possible with detergent. Wash. If any stain remains, sponge with lemon juice and salt. Dry in the sun. Wash, using hottest water, detergent and bleach safe for fabric. Mildew is very hard to remove; treat promptly.”
Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Make it a positive, pleasant, productive, and fun rest of your day.
