The above is a scene from when we went to McCloud Resort for lunch/dinner last Saturday. We didn’t have the clouds, and could see the whole valley, but still, this is such a beautiful picture I wanted to share it. I am slowly getting a few pictures of the place and area.
Today is demo day of the upstairs hall bathroom. As with everything else in this house, there were surprises and a few challenges. The vent, that was supposed to be a heat, light and vent combined was hooked to a piece of PVC pipe and dangling from a board in the roof. There was a hole the size of a salad plate in the floor under the vanity that was a part of the air conditioning/heater. they had drilled three quarter size holes in the baseboard thing of the vanity to let the air out. The shower pipe and head weren’t connected to anything like a stud, so was very loose and movable. So far, it is interesting and scary. The electrical alone with the heater/vent/light was frightful. I will be so glad when they are completely done with the demo and we will know for sure what all is or isn’t safe.
The pipes for the bathtub were not inside the wall and they cut a beam to put the drain in, but ti comes outside the wall and was just under the tub. Not done correctly at all. However the pipes are copper which is a plus. So there is some reworking having to be done there. Not as major as I thought. The floor under the tub was in tact but the dub itself totally cracked into when taken out. I think Tina’s “used house” is full of “miss-use.
Meanwhile Sierra and Milo are hiding, probably under one of the beds. Milo has been down but I haven’t seen Sierra since this morning. She is probably under my bed, way back in a corner where no one can see her. After the workers go home this evening she will come out for dinner and to complain about all the noise and strangers. She does like things her way. Milo says, well, the are upstairs at the far end of the hall so I can run down and eat and use the litter box and see what all is going on , then run back up and hide before the men come down.
With that, I will end this blog and get busy cleaning up the “sewing room”. That is where everything gets stored and we took the toilet out this morning that will go up there. Tina got them on sale last spring.
Have a wonderful rest of your day. Make it a positive, productive, safe, healthy, adventurous and fun day.
Blessings
