Another warm, beautiful fall day. We have had rain on and off all day, sometimes with the sun shining and the rain coming down. that is always so different. No flooding in our area and no winds, especially damaging winds. I believe Crossville, TN had damaging winds and possibly a tornado last night. I think we are in a good local weather wise.
There is nothing exciting going on here today. Just the normal household duties. My closet upstairs is completed and all my clothes fit nicely in it. Both Tina and I were surprised as we thought it was very small. We took four boards out that were in there for shelves. And that made a lot of difference. I think the previous owners had kids and that room was the youngest child’s room. Now I am on one floor with clothes and bath and bed. So nice.
You might be surprised to know that the answer to yesterday’s question is Gunflint. (colloquial). My source is a book called, “Whitman’s Answer Book”. I believe it was printed in 1937. It has, it says, a thousand fact references. The first 4 pages are missing which is a shame, but am enjoying finding a lot of things in there. I am snot sure if all are the same today as back in 1937, but still interesting.
Our neighbor, who has medical problems, had to go to the hospital today. Please keep her in your prayers, and the doctors and staff who care for her. She is a sweet young lady and a hard worker when able. She is always missed when not at work or home, out chatting with us all. She is part of what makes this neighborhood friendly, nice and caring.
