A beautiful Sunny Tuesday afternoon. there is a slight breeze, the temperature is 71 degrees, and it is simply lovely. I do so appreciate the sunshine, gentle warmth, and light breeze. Sierra does also as she has sat in the window and soaked it in. I understand that tomorrow will be the same, but rain returns Thursday,

We have been busy around here. Friday we got ups, had our coffee, got dressed and headed for Jefferson Square for breakfast. After a good breakfast It was the Nail Pro for me and Hobby Lobby for Tina. I got a Manicure and she got a couple of things she needed. Then off to Knoxville and to Best Buy. There we looked around and I got a new phone, a Jitterbug. I think I will really like it once I get it all figured out. It has all the features I need, and all my photos, contacts, and needed apps transferred over nicely, even my Smart Watch. so, all is good. Now, I have to learn all the things that it does and doesn’t do, and mostly, the number. I will have my old phone the rest of the week, then it will go away. My new number is: 7-865-307-2339.

After Best Buy we headed for the Home Store, looking for a basket that would fit under the kitchen sink and keep everything neat and tidy. We got one but, of course, it didn’t fit under there. So it will fit in the back bathroom and can be used there.

I thought we were going home after that but she said that Jerry and Tammy had invited us for Hot dogs and chili, and we were to bring hot dog buns. So we stopped at Publix and I went i, finally found the hot dog buns, after touring the store. I found them right away but I love that store so had to see if there was anything else I couldn’t live without. I got back to the car and she wasn’t in the car. I guess Tammy called and asked her to bring a salad that would go with the hot dogs so she had gone in the store to get that, We just missed each other.

Being at Jerry’s was fun. the food was good, of course, and seeing all that they had accomplished in the new house was so fun and it is nice. When they get everything done that they want to do it will be the most awesome place on the block, or in town. The dogs are happy and enjoying all the room to romp and play. Today Sarge was taking limbs from a small tree that Jerry chopped down and moving it over to what was once, we thing, was a basket ball court. It is located in the dogs acre to run and play in. They are so enjoyable and loveable.

Yesterday was bible study and then I did grocery shopping. That wasn’t bad until I got home and had to bring it all in. I have the cart and loaded it twice. The chore was getting it in the house without Sierra getting out of the house. The back step isn’t wide, just the width of the door, and the ramp is just that wide also. So I had to be careful to not step off the step while getting the cart in the door and not let the cat out, turn the cart over or fall off the step. A feat for sure, but I made it.

Today has been laundry day and I have worked on my stories. These are interesting but I have to do some research on them. I am loving it.

A snowy, cold winter day. We received snow this morning, about an inch, then it went to just a few flurries for the res of the day. Now, it is 28 degrees at 4:50 p.m. The cold is to be close to zero tonight with a possibility of the high tomorrow being 29 degrees. That is not factoring in the wind chill factor. Tina took a snow day today and will probably do the same tomorrow as the roads will be icy, and the driveway a sheet of ice, black in color, I believe. There is a chance of more snow this evening.

Sierra is sitting here, helping me write this blog. She is wanting treats, and she will get some as she hasn’t had any all day. She has spent most of the day on or under the fur throw on the back of the couch. I do believe even she knows it is too cold.

Jerry’s dogs , Dallas and Sarge, have enjoyed the cold, snowy, wintery day. Jerry has sent videos of them playing in the snow. So fun to watch, and I am enjoying watching them, from the indoor comfort of my home. I have seen two dogs go for a walk today. The rest have probably dashed out, done their business, and dashed back inside. Most of the dogs around here are small to mid size, and are house dogs so to speak.

today we got the big coffee table all cleaned and polished, and placed all the tie blankets to be made in it. that is a great place for them. We take two at the time to Crafts to make for either the nursing homes or for cancer patience at go to our church. There is no crafts this evening to keep all safe and off the icy roads. Hopefully we can get back to normal next week.

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “CLEAN DRAPERY CORDS” Make a strong solution of household bleach and hot water in a tall container. Gather the cord into this container, swish it around. Then be sure to rince the cord afterward in pure white vinegar to prevent the residue of bleach from rotting the cord and also to keep it from turning yellow.”

Enjoy the rest of your hump day. Make it a warm, productive, adventurous, and fun evening.

A very cold and partly cloudy day. We are expecting snow or rain tonight and tomorrow, and absolute freezing weather on Thursday. Right now it is 4:02 p.m. and 43 degrees Our high for the day. The clouds are slowly moving in so I believe we will get some wet weather of some sort later on tonight and into tomorrow. I am not complaining as so many places are suffering from freezing temperatures, flooding, tornado and so much death and destruction. Here we are very fortunate.

It was a busy weekend, but fun. Friday I was busy with housework. Saturday we celebrated Jerry’s birthday at Texas Road House. It was so fun. There was Jerry, Tammy, Dottie, Noah, Tina and I. we had a good time, lots of chatter, stories, and laughs. We were sorry that Robbie Keith wasn’t able to make the gala event, and Melissa wasn’t able to attend. All in all it was great. Tina forgot his birthday gift at home so we took it to him after church on Sunday. A little something for him to hang oh his wall.

Sunday morning when we got up it was foggy. We went to church, then a trip to Jerry’s to give him his birthday gift, then home. We had a relaxing rest of the day, reading, napping and watching TV. it had sprinkled rain on our way home, but I don’t think it really rained all day or night.

Monday morning it was cloudy but as soon as the sun came it, it was nice, though a bit on the chilly side. Tina went to work and so did I. I thought I had bible study but the leader was ill so cancelled it. the lady that has the key to the church was also ill so cancelling it made sense. I did laundry, vacuumed the whole downstairs, dusted and totally wore myself out. I had to use the big vacuum which is heavy, so it took a lot of energy. But it all got done.

Today I had a doctor’s appointment, I got all ready to go, went out and got in the car, and it wouldn’t start. So, I cancelled it and made a new appointment.. I think what happens is when I use the house key, I somehow manage to hit the remote for the car, pacifically the button that opens the trunk. I don’t pay any attention so the trunk is barely open, just enough to keep the light in there going, and the battery runs out of juice so, there is no going anywhere with the car. My neighbor said that when her husband comes home he can put his charger on it and charge it up again for me. I am going to take the remote for the car off the car chain and just use the key. That should solve the problem.

Dinner tonight is Tina’s request. A hot dog sandwich on sour dough bread! So I will fix that. I might also fix a veggie, or salad, or something healthy to go along with the hot dog sandwich! If we wake up to snow in the morning I am putting a stew in the crock pot! Something hot and healthy!!!

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “STAMP STICKS” When stamps become stuck together, place a piece of paper over them and run a hot iron over the paper. Separate the stamps before the glue cools.”

I hope you had a great weekend, and Presidents day. Have a fantastic rest of your Tuesday. Make it a pleasant, prosperous, relaxing and fun day.

A sunny, windy, cool, with a few high clouds. the time is 4:20 p.m. and the temperature is 44 degrees. I am considering turning up the heat a bit as the temperature is dropping and I do feel it in here. It is nice to see sunshine and feel its warmth coming through the glass storm door. The sun is still shining but not coming through the glass door so we are not receiving the heat from it. Time to close the main door. But, Sierra is sitting in front of the door watching a couple of birds and a few leaves blowing around. She enjoys the the door being open and being able to really see the animals and insects outside.

Today is my son Jerry’s birthday. He is celebrating by working. I believe we might get to celebrate his big day this weekend. I am amazed that all four of these baby boys of mine are now grown men with families and grandchildren of their own. Jerry has three grandchildren, the oldest one received his driver’s license last month! Happy Birthday, my son.

I just looked and the temperature has dropped 2 degrees in the last seven minutes. It is going to be cold tonight and when that alarm goes off in the morning. Yes, it is still winter. Time to get the long johns out again!

Wah’s House Hold Hints: “Suede Shoes”: Try a little vinegar to restore appearance of suede shoes. Apply with moistened cloth, let dry, Then rub with suede brush.”

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday. Make it a prosperous, productive, pleasant, and fun day.
