Another beautiful fall day. The temperature is 76 and the sun is shining, birds are singing, squirrel is scampering around, looking for seeds. I’ not sure that he is hunting food to stash away for the winter or just enjoying eating what the birds knock out of the bird feeders. He has about given up trying to get in the feeders as they are pretty much squirrel proof.

Today I have worked in the back room,…the TV room and craft room. We took one of the tables down so not just have one big one up. Tina is working on diamond art and am working on old pictures, so that one will stay p for awhile. But the craft room was loaded down with all sorts of stuff, again, so did the pick up and put away, then got the stereo hooked up in there so we can listen to the radio and play CD’s . It just didn’t work that well in the living room. Now, for a day or two, the TV room and the Craft room look nice and are ready to be enjoyed.

Tomorrow, We will take a trip to the local dump with some stuff that doesn’t fit in the trash cans, then a stop at Karns with the stuff Tina cleaned out of her drawers. I have a pair of slacks to go. Then I am sure that something fun will fill out the day. Weekends are normally interesting and fun, regardless of what we do. More on that on Monday!

Right now, it is time to head to the kitchen and prepare then evening meal. Actually, Tina is stopping at Panera’s so I don’t have to cook tonight. I think she thinks that if I don’t cook, there won’t be any dishes to fill the dishwasher and then she won’t have any to put away in the morning. I cleaned out the fridge, loaded the dishwasher and pushed start. She will have a dishwasher filled with sparkling clean dishes to put away in the morning. Surprise!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2024

Another mild October day. I do believe we will go from this beautiful weather all the way into November, then nosedive into winter. But no complaints as the weather is beautiful with chilly mornings, enabling the leaves to make a quilt patterned of yellows, reds, oranges, greens and tans. A wonderful time of the year. right now, it is sunny, clear, still, 75 Degrees at 4:48 p.m.

Well, I looked wrong at the time I was to be at the doctor’s for shots in my back, so missed getting them. Now I wait until November 15th at 3:30 p.m. I was so positive that my appointment was at 3:50 this afternoon, and it was at 2:50 this afternoon. My mistake that I will feel for 22 more days.

Bill brought me over a beautiful Hibiscus this afternoon. He ran out of room in his house I believe. It is so pretty, red flowers, shiny green leaves. I has joined the Christmas Cactus on the window seat. Sierra doesn’t seem to mind the addition. Her cat bed is there also. I would like to move her bed in between the two plants but am not sure how she would appreciate that. She is very picky about her things being moves. Cats don’t like change.

There isn’t much new around here. Coming home from the doctor’s I had to stop as a lady had pulled straight out from a side street, crossing the Oak Ridge Turnpike, wanting to turn East ( I was going West) and sat there waiting for the east bound traffic to clear so she could continue. Normally people pull so the nose of the car is pointing the direction they want to go and the rest of the car isn’t hanging out in the lane the opposite cars are going. It took awhile for her to be able to turn completely. There was a ton of cars behind me, some honking. The other lane was going just fine at about 50 to 60 mph so no chance of pulling around and bypassing her. She is very fortunate that she didn’t get hit, T_BONED!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2024

Another gorgeous fall day…sunny, slight breeze, a few high clouds, and 78 Degrees at 3:56 p.m. So nice, I wonder if this is Indian Summer? I thought we had that earlier but then, I could of been wrong. I was, once.

This evening is Crafts so dinner will be BLT’s. Something easy and good. I had a doctor’s appointment at 3:30, but got called in at 1:20 so made a dash down there, to miss the school traffic. I had to wait a bit so it was after 2:30 before I got out. School got out about the same time. I found myself behind parents picking their kids up and driving the speed limit in the school zone. Not a problem. I am glad to see them doing the 20mph speed limit and all being safe. Once we cleared that it was smooth sailing home.
go back tomorrow at 3:50 for shots in my back. Yes, I will hit the school zone with parents picking their kids up, so I will leave home early.

Oh, yes, Bill came over and then had me follow him outside to see a beautiful plant that he said I can have. I just need to find a place for it in the window. I am not sure what kind of a plank, but it has beautiful big, red flowers, I will make room for it on the windowsill as it will get sun there. It is so pretty. I will have to work on that project, room wise. It is fairly big. Tammy or Dottie might be getting a new plant for the winter if I don’t have room.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2024

A Tuesday towards the end of October. The day is sunny, warm, calm, cloudless and beautiful. The trees are slowly turning beautiful colors, golds, reds, browns, and oranges. It is 3:55 p.m. and the temperature is 76 degrees. A perfect Fall Day in East Tennessee.

Today I did laundry, took a quick trip to the store for milk, and am working on changing doctor appointment times. Tina wants to go with me to the cardiologist, but he is on a Monday, so am trying to change that to a Tuesday as I also have a shoulder doctor on Tuesday. I would love to have them on the same day. I need to make an appointment with the back doctor also, so am hoping I can manage to get all three on the same day. I believe that the back doctor is only here on Fridays. We shall see. I just called and the back doctor is tomorrow at 3:30 p.m., The shoulder doctor is Monday, the 11th at 2:30 p.m. , The Cardiologist is on Monday the 4th at 3:15 p.m. That will keep me busy. I texted Tina the doctor’s times.

Other then that, it is a quiet day around here. The birds are out and about as is the squirrel and the chipmunk. They run past the door going one way, then sort of stop and look on their way back from wherever they went. If Sierra is sitting at the door they don’t linger at all. She would love to invite them in for a social hour, but she hasn’t learned how to open the door yet.

Dinner this evening is creamy garlic shells, left over grilled chicken and broccoli from last evening. I will . have some celery sticks and carrot sticks to go with it. Later we can have Skinny Girl Popcorn to munch on while we watch TV.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Taco Tuesday… Make it a fantastic, cheerful, positive, and fun day.
