A beautiful. sunny, summer Day! A bit warm but, it is summer! Soon it will be fall and the warm days will turn into cool nights. It is starting to prepare for football weather, fall colors, sweaters and all the great fall adventures. I believe we have twenty two days left in Summer of 2022. Enjoy each of them.
My birthday dinner at Calhoun’s was fantastic. When we got there we found Jerry, Tammy and Dottie waiting for us. Soon after we arrived Robbie Keith joined us. It is so lovely looking out at the river and watching the boats and such. There were two row boats filled with teams rowing, so I think there is a race coming up soon. there must be ten or more bodies rowing the boat. There are both boys and girls teams and I have no clue which were out there last evening.
Dinner! Jerry had brisket ends with Tennessee Whiskey BBQ sauce. (I think). Tina and Dottie had wings and Dottie also has ribs that came with her wings. Tammy had a salad I believe. Robbie had a Rib-eye steak and I had two pork chops. So good. With mine I had a baked sweet potato and creamy spinach. Of course bread was served when we first sat down. For dessert Tina, Dottie, Jerry and Robbie Keith had banana pudding served in a gigantic dish that looked like a very large clear glass beer glass. Tammy and I had fresh peach shortcake. So yummy. All of us had go boxes with the exception of Robbie Keith. He managed to eat all of his banana pudding. He is a big man.
Jerry and Tammy gave me a emergency light for the hall upstairs. That is such a useful gift as if the power goes off it is very dark everywhere. We could of used that a couple of weeks ago. We used our phones to get downstairs, then used flashlights and the lantern. Then, They gave me, Tina, and Dottie tickets to go to the Builtmore to see the Christmas lights and the Leonardo da Vinci – 500 years of Genius. We three are over the moon excited over that. More about that after we do that adventure. Tonight’s dinner is from our take home boxes. What a great meal and a fun evening with wonderful company. I also have to thank every one, friends, family and even businesses for all the beautiful cards, calls, texts and e-mails. What a wonderful start to my 82nd year. The first adventure.
Quote of the day: Until a few years ago, my favorite thing to exercise was my right to vote! My idea of strenuous exercise was, as someone said, to fill the tub, pull the plug, then fight the current! From my calender’s.
Have a fantastic rest of your day. Make it super adventurous, prosperous, exciting and fun.
Blessings
