Wednesday, November 16, 2022 Mostly sunny, Breezy Cold 43 Degrees 12:09 p.m.

Today, looking out my window on the world, the trees are nearly necked. The piles of leaves are growing by leaps and bounds, and the wind is rearranging them from one yard to another, from one pile to another. It does feel a bit like winter is in the wings.

Today is my oldest child’s birthday. Tina is celebrating by going to work. She loves her job so that isn’t a problem. I would tell her age, but that number, like mine, is unlisted. Lets just say she isn’t drawing social security yet. or is she on medicare. That makes her still young, I think. Well, maybe closer to middle age, or slightly over that hump.):

The weekend is drawing near and

Dottie is finishing getting the last minute things packed and ready to move. I believe that she is very close to being ready. I know that she is willing and able to start a new chapter in her life in a new home, closer to family and friends. New is always filled with anticipation and excitement. We will be there to help get things moved from one place to the other. Once she is moved she can relax and take her time putting everything where she wants it.

Quote of the day: No matter how old she is, a mother watches her middle aged kids for signs of improvement. My calendar.

Have a great Hump Day! Make it a perfect, humorous, cheerful, kind and fun day.

Tuesday, November 16, 2022 Rainy Cloudy Cold 42 Degrees 11:58 a.m.

Today is a dreary, rainy, cold day in East Tennessee. The day should be one to curl up by the fireside with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book. It is the 15th and I have way to much to do for that warming thought. When I got up it was 37 degrees so thought that wouldn’t be to bad, but the 42 degrees feels colder. I opened the blinds and that might be the reason as the blinds keep a bit of the cold out I think. Upstairs is warmer. Chores and projects downstairs.

There are a lot of holiday events planned for the weekend. We won’t be attending them as most are downtown Knoxville, Marysville and several other places. Bazaars are going strong all over and craft sales, bake sales and such. Every store seems to be having Black Friday sales and Black Friday is a week and a half away. The adds on the computer and the phone all have these “Must Have Gifts or Most Original Gifts,” from places never heard of before and most likely a scam. It’s the Season.

We are wishing for good weather for this weekend and moving Dottie. Cold is not bad, but rain makes the new place’s yard very muddy. I tracked mud in here from last Sunday when we were out there. Tina blamed it on the cats until she realized it was “just mud”. then she blamed me and my shoes.

Quote of the day: Blessed are they who clip coupons for they shall be redeemed. My calendar

Have a good Tuesday. Make it a dry, warm, cozy, pleasant, profitable and fun day.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Monday, November 14, 2022 Mostly cloudy Cold Breezy 41 Degrees 12:24 p.m.

Winter is here, well, almost here. It sure feels like it. When I got up this morning it was 30 degrees. It dropped down to 29 when the sun started to come up. The sun was weak so I guess it was busy warming up another part of the world. Our high today should be about 50 degrees, then the rest of the week will see the highs in the 40’s.

The weekend was busy and fun. We finally made it to COSCO and so did the rest of East Tennessee. That place is always so busy. There were people of all ages including babies and children who were more interested in seeing the toys and all the Christmas “Pretties” they staying with their parents and going through the boring grocery isles. I sort of agreed with them. Once again the vendors had their people out offering tastes of their wears. That was nice to see. We bought Crisp Coconut Rolls and they are good.

Sunday we went to Dottie’s to take a couple of boxes and pick her up to go see the new mobile home that she will be moving into this month. It is nice but not ready to move into yet. We were to make a list of all the things that the mobile home people need to fix, finish or do so that when they come Friday for a walk through we can point each one out to them. Since the steps aren’t there as yet we had to climb in with a ladder as steps. I didn’t go in as between the mud from the rain the day before and not being willing to risk slipping and falling, I chose to check the outdoor part of the mobile home. I found a few things that needed attention. Tina, Dottie, Tammy and Jerry were doing the inside and taking pictures. Jerry took pictures of the outside items that needed attention. Dottie is so thrilled with the closets in each bedroom and all the cupboards in the kitchen. I can’t wait to see the inside on Friday. It is always exciting to see a new house, be it mobile or stick.

The weekend over and here it is Monday already. I am nearly done with the laundry and already on other household chores. Also have projects to get done, so busy for sure. The weather is cold and they say rain/ sleet/ flakes of snow for tomorrow. A good day to stay in and work on projects. Dottie Lewis said that everything was covered with the white stuff this morning when she got up. We just had frost. She lives in Minnesota. She said she would take Nevada! The Laughlin area.

Quote of the day: One of the greatest labor-saving inventions of today is tomorrow. My calendar.

Have a great Monday. Make it a warm, cheerful, industrious and fun day.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2022

Friday, November 11, 2022 Raining Cool Calm 63 Degrees 12:40 P.M.

Today is Veterans Day. A day to remember those who have given so much for our country, our way of life, our freedoms. Parades are going on all over the United States, people lining the streets, waving the small American flags and cheering on the veterans as they march or ride down the streets. We, the people, need to encourage them, help them, and respect them. Without them, the past, present and future veterans, we would not have and enjoy the great country that we live in.

It is a rainy day in Tennessee, and Georgia. This is Nicole visiting us on her way up the eastern coast, and a bit inland. Once this storm leaves we will get the cold winter blast from the north and Midwest. that will arrive tonight. Tomorrow we are to have a few sporadic rain showers, clouds and maybe some sun. The winter coats and clothing come out when leaving the house. Winter is approaching.

The weekend is a 3 day one for many folks. We went to Walmart last evening and found the place packed! I guess everyone got paid. There were many a person with carts overflowing. I am not sure if they were shopping for the weekend or for the whole month. We went in for a couple of items, got them and left. Our weekend consists of a trip to COSCO for shopping. Maybe breakfast at First Watch, which has awesome avocado toast. Our treat for braving the crowds at COSCO. The vols play their last home game tomorrow afternoon so will probably be home for that. Sunday, no plans.

Quote of the day: ” O rally “round the flag, boys, rally once again. Shouting the battle-cry of Freedom.” George F. Root

Have a great rest of your day and a safe, sane, healthy, and fun weekend.
