Tuesday, January 17, 2023 Rainy morning Cloudy Breezy 51 Degrees 5:03 P.M.

A very wintry day, though the temperature hasn’t been bad. Right now the temperature is 51 degrees and that is pretty great since yesterday at this time it was in the 40’s. We are to have the warmer temperatures most of the week and then cooler weekend. The weather is up and down, but I am not complaining as so much of the country is experiencing very fierce weather. California is working hard at making the foretold prophecy of ” California is going to fall into the ocean!” come true. All the mudslides, rain, fires, snow, etc. seems like it could be working its’ way towards that.

Tina just got home from work. Sierra runs to greet her just like a puppy dog. The poor kitty gets no attention, treats, play time, etc. She is one spoiled cat. Tina and I miss Milo but I don’t think that Sierra does. She likes being the only cat!

Today has been a busy one. I finished the file drawer, and filled the shredder bucket. I did the laundry and all the normal pick up and put away stuff. It is nice to see something accomplished. Tomorrow I will start another project. Just not sure which one as yet. Maybe a bit of yard work.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Make it a pleasant, energetic, social, practical and fun rest of your day.

MONDAY, JANUARY 16, 2023

Monday, January 16, 2023 Cloudy Cool Breezy Rain a’coming 45 Degrees 7:01 p.m.

I am sorry that this is going out so late. It has been a busy day as I started to deeply clean out the file drawer and discovered all sorts of papers, pictures and junk that I knew needed to be dealt with properly. The shredder is once again gaining weight. The drawer look very nice and the black file box that will make its’ way to the shed is feeling fairly full.

We had a cold but nice weekend. Saturday we almost made it a day at home, but then, Tina had to go pick up a prescription so we made our visit to Walmart. I would hate to go a week without visiting that store. It was so cold and windy that we couldn’t move fast enough to get from the car to the inside of the store, then visa versa. It reminded me of Searchlight on a very cold, windy day. BRRRRRR! Once home, a nice cup of hot cocoa was defiantly in order. Prior to a trip to Walmart Jerry and Tammy came over. Jerry did some stuff on my computer as I had gotten an email I didn’t understand and had forwarded it to him. He took care of it. I get nervous when it is something I don’t know anything about and I am afraid I will end up either buying something I don’t want or getting a program that will cause me and others headaches. Better he handle it and keep all safe. He also got my game console fixed so I can play without hunting for the correct scanner, place etc. So nice.

Sunday afternoon we went to Dottie’s to help hang pictures and visit. Jerry and Tammy were there so it was a fun time, and most of the pictures got hung as well as other things hung and placed that needed a man’s touch. Her place is looking quite homey and cozy now. Even Max is getting use to the new home and where everything is located. She said she is very happy there and enjoying having much more room as well as not so close neighbors.

All in all, a good weekend.

Have a great rest of your Monday. I know that for many of you it was a holiday. I hope that the day was pleasant, purposeful, nice and fun. Have a great evening.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2023

Friday, January 13, 2023 Cold Cloudy Breezy 40 Degrees 3:40 p.m.

We had our big Wind, Rain, Thunder, Lightening storm yesterday. I thought better of being on the computer with all the weather activity so stayed off. Today is much calmer but also colder. We have had some light rain showers but nothing like yesterday. Tomorrow should be “sunny” but colder. We shall see.

It has been a quiet but busy week. I am working on cleaning out files, preparing rot the income tax season. I guess things will be a bit different this year. Social Security has to pay taxes????? I didn’t quite understand that so probably didn’t hear the whole bit the news was saying. Quite often the TV and news is in the living room and I am in the kitchen or someplace else. I was under the impression that all should do their income tax regardless. The files need cleaning out so it is a needed job, taxes or no taxes.

Today I put beans and ham bone in the crock pot for dinner. Will have corn bread to go with them. A nice hot meal to take the chill off when Tina gets home. I think that it feels cold because it is a damp cold so goes right through a person. Hot meals do help. Oat meal for breakfast, soup for lunch and beans for dinner. Maybe curl up under a nice, warm, furry throw to watch TV, with the cat in my lap. Sounds good anyhow.

The weekend will probably be quiet. We are going to go see about the cable for the TV. That bill keeps climbing so we are going to make a change of some kind tomorrow. WE have some ideas and a couple of options but will see if there is more out there. For me, the radio works great and I have good books to read. I do like TV and several shows, but we record most of them because they come on later then we can stay awake. That is one thing we will have to consider.

Have a great rest of your Friday and a wonderful dry, warm, comfortable, adventurous and fun weekend.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2022

Wednesday, January 11, 2022 Cloudy Still Cool 52 Degrees 5:08 p.m.

We are preparing for the storm which has been traveling all the way from California. I understand that they are experiencing another storm today and there is another behind that one. I guess we will be getting them also. So nice of them to share.

I do feel so bad for all who are living there and suffering from all the flooding, wind and damages. Also the people who are getting the tons of snow. My heart goes out to all and all are in my prayers. I do have friends there and also relatives.

Here, Tina is trying to get home but is stuck on the Pillisippi Highway. Apparently there is an accident in or by Solway or in that vicinity. She just crossed the Harden Valley bridge so has a ways to go, or to sit. I hope that it isn’t serious and that it get cleared up quickly. She has been there for approximately 40 minutes by now. Dinner will be late I think.

Yesterday was a doctor’s appointment and when I got home I went straight into dinner mode. Sierra was all excited thinking she was going to get dinner early. She didn’t. I just finished when Tina drove in.

Tina just called again. Monica, who left fifteen minutes before her (she works with Tina) said that there is four cars involved and the cars are horrible. One is missing the driver’s side and the whole back seat area. The other the whole front is gone. She hasn’t seen the other two as yet. The tow trucks are working at getting it all towed away and the area cleaned up for cars to go by. I guess it covered both sides of the highway.

Not much news around here. Just weather and it being winter. Tried as we might, I am still finding Christmas stuff that should of been packed away. Maybe by Valentine’s day I will have it all gathered and put away. Hopefully Tina doesn’t find anything else that is so cute we can’t live without for Christmas and I will make my deadline on getting it all put away.
