Wednesday, April 24, 2024 Sunny Few white clouds Breezy 72 Degrees 4:11 p.m.

Another beautiful spring day. So fun to see the birds out hunting for worms, flying around, teasing the cat. Even the lizard walked by just to keep Sierra on her toes.

As for me, well i finished cleaning the leaves off the carport and hope that it can stay leaf free for a few days. I must of swept up a ton of pollen as well as leaves, dirt, and fuzzy things off some of the trees across the turnpike. The trees are looking so pretty with their new leaves. Spring is very pretty here.

This evening is Crafts at church. It is more of a social gathering then anything else. I have to think what I am going to take, and it will probably be a coloring book, or else pictures to put in an album I am working on. Tina will take her latch hook thing that she is working on. I wanted to take a dish towel to paint on but I didn’t get the transfer on it so will save that until next week. So many projects, so few ready to be called done.

Since we have been eating our main meal for lunch we just eat lightly for dinner. So this evening Tina has asked for a bologna sandwich. Defiantly not my favorite. i will have the rest of the roast beef in a sandwich. I think there is just enough for that. I will make tuna salad for lunch tomorrow and fix a meal for tomorrow night and Friday lunch, or Friday evening.

Other then that not much going on here. Tina ordered something that she said would be here today. It is here and Sierra is sitting on it, keeping it safe for for her. The problem with that is, Sierra believes that it is hers and we can’t get rid of it until she moves on to something else. I can probably get rid of the one on the couch now but know that she will move into this one and it will be here for a couple of weeks. Unless it is something she ordered to go to work, the I will keep the other box. CATS.

Have a great Wednesday. Make it a productive, positive, patient, perfect and fun day.

Tuesday, April 23, 2024 Sunny Windy Clear Warm 72 Degrees 4:41 p.m.

The morning started out very cool, gradually it warmed up to the now pleasant 72 degrees. By this weekend it is supposed to be 80 degrees. I am thinking that it will cool down again before it get to be summer and the heat. I am not complaining. The birds, squirrel and even the lizard made an appearance this afternoon. He is out looking for bugs i believe. Sierra was napping so missed him. When you snooze, you loose.

I haven’t accomplished much today. The pollen is everywhere and has effected me with the itchy eyes and runny nose and sines headache. Normally it doesn’t bother me but today it has hit hard. Looking out the windows of the upstairs bedrooms I can see large yellow patches on all the carports and the cars parked in the open are covered with the yellow stuff. Tina brings it home on our car as she , and all there, park out in the open, like under a tree. Our blue car comes home with a yellow top. It is Tennessee and there are all kinds of and millions of trees, everywhere.

Tammy and Jerry had a visitor early this morning. She sent pictures and I believe they had a coyote in their yard and maybe in their garage. It was alone and curious. Probably looking for food. There have been a lot of coyote sightings this year, even around here. We haven’t seen one and I am thankful for that. When you have dogs or cats and they go out is when you have to be extra careful.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday. Make it a true Taco Tuesday and enjoy a pleasant, fun and blessed evening.

Monday, April 21, 2024 Sunny Cool Clear Breezy 63 Degrees 5:16 p.m.

Life in this household has been busy as usual. Between being not at home for two days and then the Computer being uncooperative and the operator being not a tech, I missed most of last week. I did get Monday in though. You had a vacation.

Tuesday, I went with Tina to her doctor’s appointment. It was long but interesting. She also has another doctor’s appointment but since they took a blood test at the first appointment and has the results she didn’t have to do that. That appointment was short and sweet,. Then, lunch at Out Back which was really good, or we were really hungry as breakfast was a quick bar and a cup of coffee.

We then picked up Dottie and went to COSCO and got meat and all the usual shopping that is done there. That took forever as it was mid day and half of Tennessee was there with all their small children. I assume the older ones were in school. Since it was Tuesday all the Seniors were there also. When were were in line to check our, like a million other people, there was a lady behind us, not exactly in any line, yelling for every one to move and quite just standing around. Finally a employee came and asked everyone to move i a bit closer so people could get by. Fine. No problem with that. she just pushes herself up in line and gets right in front, Not our line but the one two registers from us. She kind of squeezed another couple out of her way to get up there. The wife wanted to get in her face but her husband said to let it go as it would be much quieter when she left.

Wednesday I went in and spent the day with Dottie as it was Tammy’s birthday and we were all to have dinner when everyone was off work. We had dinner at Jerry and Tammy’s. I brought the cake and Jerry went and picked up dinner. It was Chinese food, good, and the dinner party was fun. Of course the dogs made it extra special. They were the entertainment. The dogs gave he a slice of Red Velvet Cake form “the Cake Boss”. She said she knew that the dogs loved her best.

Thursday I was home and catching up on laundry, cleaning and such. The computer didn’t like me so wouldn’t come up with what i wanted, namely Walters Legacy. Since it was a windy and messy day weather wise, I chalked it up to that. But I did tell Jerry.

Friday it was a rainy day, and windy. Again I couldn’t get on my blog. I finally gave up and decided i would wait until Jerry came over. He came Friday afternoon and fixed it. I was over my limit on something or other.

The weekend was cool but nice. Julie and I went Antique store hopping. We actually made three of them before deciding to go have lunch and head for home. We ate at The Golden Girls, and it was good, The antique shops were fun, interesting and educational. We plan to do that again one day.

Sunday was church and today is laundry and all that good stuff. Now it is dinner time.

MONDAY, APRIL 15, 2024

Monday, April 15, 2024 Sunny Breezy Blue Sky Warm 85 Degrees 5:10 p.m.

I say warm because the house is only 72 degrees. No AC! I just love the warm, sunny weather. So nice after so many days of rain and wind and clouds. I understand they will be back the middle of the week.

Well, the weekend was wonderful. Our trip to Granville, Tennessee was absolutely grand. We had so much fun, saw so many things, met a lot of the characters from the I Love Lucy shows and the Andy Griffith Show. Saw the police cars, the jail, etc. We saw several skits from I Love Lucy and they were so funny. The actor and actress who played the parts were fantastic. There were lots of cars from that era as well as farm equipment, stores and buildings. Most were ones that belong there and people live in the houses and run the stores and restaurants, We weren’t crazy about the food as we just had hamburgers, but everything else was top drawer. We all had a good time and think it is well worth the trip there. It took about two hours to get there, but then, we stopped for donuts at a very good bakery, then saw where Tammy went to the University. So pretty, calming and nice. I do like the back roads for scenery.

The one shop that I went into and thoroughly enjoyed was the “Aunt Bees Farmhouse. There were quilts hanging and folded and laying. All different and all so pretty. There were packages of quilt pieces that you could buy and sew together yourself, as well as patterns and “beginner” packages for children. The layout was something. There were pin cushions and everything else that one might need for sewing. In one of the big back rooms were sewing machines, ready to sew. The owner held classes twice a week. i asked for a business card and the owner said that she was out of them at present but she is on the web if interested.

Sunday we just laid around. We both felt the amount of walking we did, but no complaints and am willing to go “walk again”. Dottie’s ankle was swollen so she is trying to get it healed and is staying off of it, she says. It was a fun day for sure.

Today I have had company. Pamela came over this morning and we played Scrabble. She beat me by 5 points, but we were tied for quite a while It was a fun game. That and making cards took up my whole day. Now it is dinner time so had better get at that. Tomorrow we will be in Knoxville and am not sure what time we will get home. Doctor appointments and Cosco.

Have a wonderful rest of your Monday. Today is Tax day. Make Uncle Sam Happy and send him a greeting.
