BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS.

Thursday, August 11, 2022 Rain to stop Partly cloudy Breezy 81 degrees 3:42 p.m.

My first blog of the week, and it is nearly the end of the week. It has been a busy week. Each evening, as I was getting ready to write, we would get company. So I put it off and enjoyed the company, the visits and the one evening of games. Today, since Tina went to work at 2:00 p.m. I thought that I would do my blog and get it in just in case company came. I am ready.

We have had the rain every day and everything is well watered. Most plants have received more water then they wanted so don’t look that good. This has been a strange summer, weather wise. We have lost plants to the heat and now to the rain. We shall see what the rest of the summer is like. The rain is to stop today and we shouldn’t have more for a week or so. Yes, I will have to go out and water but not for a day or two. A cold front is passing through and that will bring the temperatures and the humidity down which will be nice for both animals, plants and us humans.

We were to take Sierra to the vet to be shaved last Friday. But, we didn’t have a car. So she is going in tomorrow morning and I hope that she will feel better and be better. She gets so knotted up that it is hard for her to groom herself. Tina has cut knots off of her but she tolerates that for only a little bit, then leaves with a soft growl. I think it will also help with the shedding. I know that Milo sheds but not in the bunches that Sierra does. He is short haired, she is long haired. So tomorrow she get her spa day.

While she is there we will de fur the house; dust, vacuum and all that goes with it. She won’t mind the vacuum or being disturbed as it will all be done when she returns. Milo will mind and spend the house cleaning time under one bed or the other. Until we start that he will enjoy being the only cat but also will be looking for Sierra.

Have a great rest of you day. Make it a adventurous, interesting, prosperous and fun day.

WINDY DAY Degrees

Friday, August 5, 2022 Cloudy Rainy Breezy 74 Degrees 5 : 16 p.m.

Thunder is booming lightening is striking and I know the next downpour is arriving soon. We were at Dottie’s this afternoon and while there enjoyed a thunderstorm and a downpour of rain for about 45 minutes. I really knows how to rain in this area. I am so thankful we have had no flooding. It has reached the bottom of the front door but that is all. The doormat got soaked and that was about it. I understand that we will have this type of weather for the nest week or so. We do have green grass and pretty flowers.

Some of the locals say that they haven’t had a summer like this for many years and this is not normal. It is what it is and I am not complaining. Those poor folks in Kentucky are the ones really hurting right now. They have lost everything.

After not having the car last night and most of this morning, we got it back. The problem was the gas cap. It needed to be replaced as it leaked fumes into the car that set off the engine light. We are so thankful that it wasn’t something major.

Jerry said that they have no power now so I am going to end this and send it off before we have no power. That would be sad.

Have a wonderful rest of your Friday and a fantastic weekend. fill it all with love, laughter, adventure, and fun

SUCH PRETTY FISH

Thursday, August 4, 2022 Partly Cloudy Slight breeze 89 Degrees 6:08 p.m.

A busy day around here. Tina took the car to the car doctor this morning. they brought her home and they still have the car. After she got home she made some blueberry lemon bread, vacuumed the upstairs, and cleaned the Robo cat box. That meant taking it all apart, washing it out with soap and water, each part, then drying it and putting it back together. Meanwhile I cleaned the “sewing room” where we have the cat box set up in, vacuumed the office, dining room and entrance, and did a lot of pick up and put away. We both gathered things to go to Karns when we get the car.

This afternoon we played Yahtzee and now it is news time, and dinner time. She has a sore throat so I think dinner will be soup. Jerry also has a sore throat and has allergies. I believe Tina will try for the same thin. Yes, all have tested and have come back negative.

Sierra was due to go to the vet tomorrow for a urn test and to be shaved. I guess she got a reprieve on that visit. Maybe Monday, I know she won’t mind at all. She is a home body and not one who enjoys car ride to anyplace.

We did get the rainstorm last night and it was a good one but I don’t think it lasted very long. It was at bedtime so I probably slept through most of it. I got the beginning and that was all. We are supposed to get some more tonight so we shall see.

Quote of the day: “Sometimes I’m tempted to adapt a line I see every day on my car and transpose it onto the full length mirror in my bedroom, It would say images in the mirror are smaller then they appear.”

Have a great rest of your day. Make it relaxing enjoyable, energetic, and fun.

GIANT CRAB. BIGGER
THAN A KING CRAB.

Wednesday, August 3, 2022 Sunny Still Humid 91 Degrees 5:06 p.m.

A day that started out foggy and ended up sunny and beautiful, but humid. A doctor’s appointment this morning, then a stop at the pet store for food for Sierra and Milo. They now each have different food. She is being the Deva and has to have Hill brand cat food. The vet said she has high triglycerides and may have hipper-thyroid. She goes back Friday for a urn test and to be shaved as she knots up so bad. That long hair gets tangled and we can’t seem to brush it out.

Then a trip to Kroger’s. I hope we don’t have to go shopping again for a month. Eggs and milk won’t last a month but the rest should.

Tina made a loaf of bread yesterday and it was wonderful so I think we will be making our own bread for awhile. We have a bread machine so that will help. It smells so good and tastes great. I haven’t tried the bread in a sandwich as yet but it should work well.

The above picture is of the giant crab. It is much bigger then a king crab and looks like he should be in a sci-fi movie. He was really big and not to friendly looking. He had a “room mate” as big as he was. What an interesting place that was.

Not much else going on here so I believe it is quote time.”

Quote of the day: “I’ve been very good about watching my weight. I watch it go up and down and up and down. I heard someone call this “The rhythm method of girth control” My calendar

Have a fantastic rest of your day. Make it cheerful, energetic, adventurous and fun.
